I'm just about convinced this is now the Twilight Zone. When you think that you've heard it all, wait 10 minutes. I just learned some things that I didn't want to know, so I'm turning it OFF.

I don't know about AWOL but I have been a bit MIA the last two days. Missing here because of actions needed elsewhere.
My daughter had her apartment broken into while she was at the grocery store yesterday. Lot's of damage done. A 9 yr old and 6 yr old girls emptied the freezer and refrigerator scattering the food everywhere, smearing it on walls ceiling and floors. They broke dishes, lamps and other furniture, killed the gold fish, dumped cleaning chemicals all over the house and soaking a young kitten in them, too. They then took a number of items with them when they left.
The kitten had just gone through surgery in order to comply with housing regulations of being declawed and neutered. Between that and all those chemicals in her lungs she was in pretty bad shape for awhile. A little bit of oxygen and whole lot of pampering and she is now back to her ornery self.
The oldest of these two girls is now in juvie. This is not a first offense for her and with a total of over $1500.00 in damages it looks like she will be there awhile this time.
It is a sad situation when children this age are in such trouble and they nor their parents really seem to care.
I was so sorry to read about this PR! It is amazing that children this age would ever dream of doing something like this. The boldest I ever got at that age was to pretend not hear mother calling if I was doing something really fun. Of course I'd get scolded pretty good when she did get ahold of me (because you couldn't miss mother voice!). Something I see a lot with the women at the mission, is a lack of parenting skills and disipline. I was raised in a broken home so that is not an excuse. Mom made sure we minded our manners at all times. And if we didn't there was always the "ol' bending over a kitchen chair with a paddle to our backsides" trick.

I was just chuckling some about some news spots I heard today. I'm just about convinced this is now the Twilight Zone. When you think that you've heard it all, wait 10 minutes. I just learned some things that I didn't want to know, so I'm turning it OFF.
I have to admit that I haven't listened to, watched, or read the news since Obama (won) the election. I got pretty depressed last year reading it and bruising my chin as it kept hitting the floor. I just haven't gotten brave enough yet to catch up. And like BEP says, just when you think you've heard it all or that it can't get any worse, just wait a few minutes. I know that the Lord is coming soon and that's what I think about everyday. That and sharing the gospel with everyone that I can in the mean time! And speaking of "sharing", a little monkey just got up and jumped up into my lap so I guess I'll go get some breakfast him!

Hello Grammyluv,
Sister Yvette, I think that most of us got pretty depressed in watching everything going on. BUT, it wasn't just for us, rather for our children and grandchildren. It is hard to keep everything sorted out these days. Looking at things from a Biblical perspective is the only thing that makes sense. SO, keeping our eyes on JESUS and concentrating on HIS WORD is obviously the most important thing we can do. It's also the best thing we can do for our children and grandchildren.
Love In Christ, Tom
Psalms 31:3 ASV 3 For thou art my rock and my fortress; Therefore for thy name's sake lead me and guide me.

Brothers and Sisters,
I'm in bed, and I made the mistake of leaving the news on. I now have an overall opinion of what's going on, and I really don't care if anyone else shares this opinion or not.
First, find out about the 3 1/2 TRILLION DOLLAR OBAMA BUDGET! If you look at everything attached to it - YOU FIGURE IT OUT!
AND/OR
Our government is trying go go COMMUNIST all at once!
The Tribulation Period is about to be ushered in!
Brothers and Sisters, I'm not a gloom and doom type person, and I don't claim any revelation of any kind. I do believe GOD'S WORD 100%, and I do KNOW that BIBLE PROPHECY will be fulfilled perfectly at GOD'S Appointed time. So, please take what I said in this context. All I claim is a little bit of common sense, and I don't see any other logical possibilities of where things are going.
I do want to make one BLUNT STATEMENT: OBAMA IS NOT THE MESSIAH! I don't even know who he's working for! Only a select few even know his real name, where he was born, and what his nationality is. WHO IS THIS GUY THAT SO MANY PEOPLE BLINDLY TRUST AND FOLLOW?

Brothers and sisters,
Obama is a anti-christ, who I think is setting the way for the anti-christ.
Those who do not follow Jesus will be left to suffer, this evil world coming. A time period called tribulation, there will be 21 judgments against man. 7 seal judgments, 7 trumpet judgments, and 7 bowl judgments. When Jesus sets foot again at the sheep goat judgment, only 25% of the population will be left on the world. That means out of a population of 6 billion people now, only 240,000,000 will be alive at the end of tribulation. Many of those are goats that will find there home in the lake of fire.
I don't get depressed, because I know there is a better world a coming. That world will be ruled by Jesus Christ, with a rod of iron.

AMEN BROTHER BOB! ONLY CHRIST will be able to end the violence, horror, and bloodshed. Those who survive the SECOND COMING OF CHRIST will see the only REAL TIME OF PEACE this world has ever known. As you know, the descriptions given in GOD'S WORD are breathtaking. I only want to share two smaller portions right now, and both of them are quite beautiful. Isaiah 2:1-5 NASB 1 The word which Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. 2 Now it will come about that In the last days The mountain of the house of the LORD Will be established as the chief of the mountains, And will be raised above the hills; And all the nations will stream to it. 3 And many peoples will come and say, "Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, To the house of the God of Jacob; That He may teach us concerning His ways And that we may walk in His paths." For the law will go forth from Zion And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. 4 And He will judge between the nations, And will render decisions for many peoples; And they will hammer their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, And never again will they learn war. 5 Come, house of Jacob, and let us walk in the light of the LORD.
Isaiah 9:2-7 NASB 2 The people who walk in darkness Will see a great light; Those who live in a dark land, The light will shine on them. 3 You shall multiply the nation, You shall increase their gladness; They will be glad in Your presence As with the gladness of harvest, As men rejoice when they divide the spoil. 4 For You shall break the yoke of their burden and the staff on their shoulders, The rod of their oppressor, as at the battle of Midian. 5 For every boot of the booted warrior in the battle tumult, And cloak rolled in blood, will be for burning, fuel for the fire. 6 For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. 7 There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace, On the throne of David and over his kingdom, To establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness From then on and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will accomplish this.
Brother, I'm also still studying the Promises of GOD to the CHURCH WHICH IS THE BODY OF CHRIST. The Beauty of GOD'S WORD to HIS CHILDREN is far beyond anything that we can imagine. We can't even dream that high, but we can read partial descriptions in HIS WORD. I must add that GOD'S Promises to Israel aren't nearly as beautiful as GOD'S Promises to the BODY OF CHRIST! Love In Christ, Tom Revelation 22:1 NASB Then he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb,
Revelation 22:2 NASB in the middle of its street. On either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
Revelation 22:3 NASB There will no longer be any curse; and the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and His bond-servants will serve Him;
Revelation 22:4 NASB they will see His face, and His name will be on their foreheads.
Revelation 22:5 NASB And there will no longer be any night; and they will not have need of the light of a lamp nor the light of the sun, because the Lord God will illumine them; and they will reign forever and ever.
Revelation 22:6 NASB And he said to me, "These words are faithful and true"; and the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, sent His angel to show to His bond-servants the things which must soon take place.
Revelation 22:7 NASB "And behold, I am coming quickly. Blessed is he who heeds the words of the prophecy of this book."
Revelation 22:8 NASB I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I heard and saw, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed me these things.

Hello Everyone! I will be seeing my doctor soon for a round of tests, and I'm hoping that my doctor can make some changes in my medication that will make me feel better. I'm just glad that I'm not a horse going to a vet because I'm sure I would be shot. I do have my coffee, and I'm trying to concentrate on Godly materials. I can only stomach so much news these days because it's all bad and insane. As a contrast, GOD'S NEWS IS GOOD NEWS. As Christians, we are in GOD'S Hands, and this gives me peace. This should give all Christians Peace, and it's a PEACE that only GOD can give. Brothers and Sisters, these are difficult times, and we must remember to feed our SPIRITS every day - the more - the better. The noise of the devil loose in the world is impossible to bear unless we PUT ON THE ARMOR OF GOD. Ephesians 6:11-20 NIV 11 Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. 19 Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.Turn the noise of the world off several times every day and FEED YOUR SPIRIT WITH THE GOOD THINGS OF GOD! Love In Christ, Tom Philippians 3:7-21 NASB But whatever things were gain to me, those things I have counted as loss for the sake of Christ. 8 More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ, 9 and may be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith, 10 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death; 11 in order that I may attain to the resurrection from the dead. 12 Not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus. 13 Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. 15 Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, have this attitude; and if in anything you have a different attitude, God will reveal that also to you; 16 however, let us keep living by that same standard to which we have attained. 17 Brethren, join in following my example, and observe those who walk according to the pattern you have in us. 18 For many walk, of whom I often told you, and now tell you even weeping, that they are enemies of the cross of Christ, 19 whose end is destruction, whose god is their appetite, and whose glory is in their shame, who set their minds on earthly things. 20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ; 21 who will transform the body of our humble state into conformity with the body of His glory, by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things to Himself.

Hello Everyone,
I'm just wondering how long it will take average people to figure out what's going on with our so-called government.
It's hard to tell, but it appears that even some liberals are in shock. It's only been a little more than a month, but it seems like years. Who knows how far things will go and how fast?
As for Christians, I'm hoping that most try to get a Biblical view of the things that are changing around us. It won't be pleasant, but I think that things will be easier if we simply look to GOD'S Promises. Our answers are where they've always been - GOD and HIS WORD. I'm not hinting that it will be easy to figure out what to do in many different situations, but we should know this is a time of prayer and looking for guidance. I know that the Bible gives us very clear guidance already for many situations. As an example, should we ever call evil GOOD or GOOD evil? NO! There are many things that should NEVER involve compromise of any kind. We should know that the harder path will many times be doing "what is RIGHT". I hope that we all pray for strength in doing what is RIGHT. We must not allow ourselves to be conformed to this evil world.
Love In Christ, Tom
John 3:16-20 ASV 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life. 17 For God sent not the Son into the world to judge the world; but that the world should be saved through him. 18 He that believeth on him is not judged: he that believeth not hath been judged already, because he hath not believed on the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the judgment, that the light is come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their works were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, and cometh not to the light, lest his works should be reproved.

Also that he comes to know Jesus, instead of saying that Jesus, allah, buddha, are the same path to heaven. It's hard to tell, but it appears that even some liberals are in shock. Hello DreamWeaver,
Brother Bob, I see that you are desperate for a cup of coffee. I would give you a sip of mine, but it's also time for me to make some more. I use the big insulated mugs for my coffee, and the mugs have a lid to help keep the coffee hot. I sometimes get so busy doing other things that it still gets cold before I can finish it, and what I have left is cold.
I am also praying for the President and our leaders every day. This brings up something I heard in the news today. It regards a twisting of statements indicating that many don't wish the President well. SURELY, everyone can guess how the statements were twisted, but I'll use myself for an example. I certainly WANT the President to do well and do a great job, but I WON'T accept socialism or communism. I would love for the President to do a great job, but I OBVIOUSLY want any attempt at socialism or communism to fall flat on its face! NO Christian would ever want socialism or communism to succeed here or anywhere else because that always involves LOSS OF FREEDOM - INCLUDING THE FREEDOM TO DO THE LORD'S WORK!
I found this twisting of thoughts to be quite interesting, especially considering that only parts of certain public statements were used. I can still honestly pray for President Obama, but I can also pray that any attempt at socialism or communism FAILS. The TWISTED mainstream news media would leave out anything said about socialism and communism. They would also leave out any mention that I pray for President Obama every day and hope that he does a good job. I will keep praying and keep hoping, regardless of how many destructive things are done. "HOPE" is really a poor word for Christians to use these days unless that "HOPE" is directly referring to GOD. Maybe "WISH" would be a better word to use when talking about men. AFTER ALL, WE HAVE CONCRETE REASONS FOR HOPE AND FAITH IN GOD - but not for men.
Love In Christ, Tom
1 John 5:4-13 NIV 4 for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. 5 Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God. 6 This is the one who came by water and blood--Jesus Christ. He did not come by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. 7 For there are three that testify: 8 the Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement. 9 We accept man's testimony, but God's testimony is greater because it is the testimony of God, which he has given about his Son. 10 Anyone who believes in the Son of God has this testimony in his heart. Anyone who does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because he has not believed the testimony God has given about his Son. 11 And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. 13 I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.

Your right brother............... The Bible gives us very clear guidance for many situations, we are seeing today. I pray that men, women, boys and girls find God soon. I feel time is running out for some of these folks. I don't know if it is just me or what........... So I have something to ponder about, till I fall asleep. But only after I finish my cup of coffee.

I'm sorry that I missed getting to say goodnight. SLEEP WELL!
I still have a few things to do and will be back and forth for awhile. YES, I have my coffee. I would like to put a little bit bigger dent in that to do list before I call it a day, but I rarely sleep at normal times anyway.
I'm still doing a beautiful study on the Promises of GOD, and I'm having a good time with it. I hope to be able to share more of it soon. The exciting thing is that THESE PRECIOUS PROMISES ARE GROWING NEAR! It's wonderful just to think about it, knowing that GOD keeps all of HIS PROMISES Perfectly.
Romans 1:16-17 NLT 16 For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes-Jews first and also Gentiles. 17 This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, "It is through faith that a righteous person has life."
Hebrews 12:1-8 NLT 1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily hinders our progress. And let us run with endurance the race that God has set before us. 2 We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, on whom our faith depends from start to finish. He was willing to die a shameful death on the cross because of the joy he knew would be his afterward. Now he is seated in the place of highest honor beside God's throne in heaven. 3 Think about all he endured when sinful people did such terrible things to him, so that you don't become weary and give up. 4 After all, you have not yet given your lives in your struggle against sin. 5 And have you entirely forgotten the encouraging words God spoke to you, his children? He said, "My child, don't ignore it when the Lord disciplines you, and don't be discouraged when he corrects you. 6 For the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes those he accepts as his children." 7 As you endure this divine discipline, remember that God is treating you as his own children. Whoever heard of a child who was never disciplined? 8 If God doesn't discipline you as he does all of his children, it means that you are illegitimate and are not really his children after all.
Romans 4:3-8 NLT 3 For the Scriptures tell us, "Abraham believed God, so God declared him to be righteous." 4 When people work, their wages are not a gift. Workers earn what they receive. 5 But people are declared righteous because of their faith, not because of their work. 6 King David spoke of this, describing the happiness of an undeserving sinner who is declared to be righteous: 7 "Oh, what joy for those whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sins are put out of sight. 8 Yes, what joy for those whose sin is no longer counted against them by the Lord."
2 Corinthians 1:20-22 NLT 20 For all of God's promises have been fulfilled in him. That is why we say "Amen" when we give glory to God through Christ. 21 It is God who gives us, along with you, the ability to stand firm for Christ. He has commissioned us, 22 and he has identified us as his own by placing the Holy Spirit in our hearts as the first installment of everything he will give us.

Hello Everyone! I'm still here and want to share something for those who come early in the morning. John 14:25-27 ASV These things have I spoken unto you, while yet abiding with you. 26 But the Comforter, even the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said unto you. 27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.
This is JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF speaking lovingly to HIS disciples before HE was about to be crucified. Just think about this and wonder what the disciples understood and what they were thinking. They loved HIM, but they didn't understand. How could they understand what CHRIST was about to do on the CROSS? This was an emotional time of sorrow for many who were close to JESUS CHRIST. The Apostles didn't understand either. The mystery wasn't made known until it was revealed to the Apostle Paul some time later. It was too big and wonderful for the Apostles to understand. JESUS CHRIST was about to suffer the punishment for the sins of the entire world in HIS OWN HOLY BODY. He is talking to HIS disciples lovingly like they were HIS Children, and they were HIS Children - but they didn't understand. They thought HE was simply their anointed KING who had come to set up the Promised Kingdom. Please notice that JESUS Promises a Peace like the world can't give. A person who is about to die usually leaves a will, and it usually involves some sort of property that will be passed down after their death. In this case, CHRIST didn't leave the material riches of this world - rather the PRICELESS PEACE OF GOD and the PROMISE THAT THE HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD will be sent to them as a COMFORTER. HE is the SAME HOLY SPIRIT who lives in the hearts of Christians and seals the hearts of Christians as setting them apart as purchased possessions of CHRIST! THESE ARE RICHES THAT THE WORLD CAN'T IMAGINE!Love in Christ, Tom AMAZING GRACE
"I was blind but now I see!" John 9:25 [John Newton (1725-1807)]
Amazing grace! How sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me! I once was lost, but now am found; Was blind, but now I see.
'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, And grace my fears relieved; How precious did that grace appear The hour I first believed!
Through many dangers, toils and snares, I have already come; 'Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far, And grace will lead me home.
The Lord has promised good to me, His Word my hope secures; He will my Shield and Portion be, As long as life endures.
Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail, And mortal life shall cease, I shall possess, within the veil, A life of joy and peace.
The earth shall soon dissolve like snow, The sun forbear to shine; But God, who called me here below, Will be forever mine.
When we've been there ten thousand years, Bright shining as the sun, We've no less days to sing God's praise Than when we'd first begun.
