I think that you already know that I understand completely. I also see the "Abomination" and the advancement of many things that are evil, so I also pray that these things will be stopped and reversed. We obviously have very little control of things like this, but our LORD and MASTER has the POWER to do as HE Pleases. These are discouraging times for Christians, and praying about it is good for us, regardless of whether our prayers are answered or not. Another important thing for us to consider is that we might be actually watching the unfolding of Bible Prophecy.

It is morning - so where is everyone?

It's 1:33 A.M. here, so I can't figure out why everyone isn't up, at it, and ready to go!   

If you are up - get a cup of coffee and go back to bed. I sometimes start my day at this time, but I never know. I might actually go to sleep at a reasonable time today.

I just had a revolting thought that might keep me up a few more minutes:  The Speaker of the House - Nancy Pelosi - is third in line in an emergency to be the President of the United States. This is not a comforting thought. This would be like being told there's going to be a gay pride parade on your lawn tomorrow. YUK!

I think that I'll read the Bible for a few minutes and try to call it a day. After all, everyone else is sleeping in and two hours of the day is already gone.

In a Two minutes with the Bible, a guy was asking another if he is a 12 in or a 12 out. What is that?

What is difference between a Bible study and a devotion?

The 12 in 12 out is speaking of a ridiculous debate as to whether the 12 Apostles are or are not a member of the Body of Christ.

A devotion can actually be considered a short Bible Study.

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!

I have my coffee, and I know it's going to be another wonderful day in the LORD. YES, this is another day that the LORD has made - let us be glad and rejoice in it.

I want to share something with everyone this morning. I'm seeing all kinds of things emerging into the open that are EVIL, and you are also. As Christians, we should easily be able to identify armies of darkness coming out into the light of day for battle. Part of this is LITERAL, and we should be able to see where things are going. Literally, MANY are being DECEIVED - and most Christians should be able to see what the desired destination is. At the least, this is very sad, and it could be depressing - but only if we allow it. I firmly believe that we are going into hard times, and those hard times might last until CHRIST comes to take us HOME! As Christians, we should not allow the circumstances to get us down, depressed, or give us the feeling of being defeated. Brothers and Sisters, we need to be ABOUT OUR MASTER'S BUSINESS and KEEP OUR EYES ON JESUS! GOD will handle the rest. I'm not suggesting that we lay down and be quiet - just the opposite! The devil is going to be using this time for his purposes, and we should be using this time for the PURPOSES OF CHRIST!

All of us need to remember how the story ends - CHRIST crushes evil and reserves evil for the final JUDGMENT to the eternal fires of HELL. As Christians, we won't win the battles and wars - BUT JESUS CHRIST will! When things get hard, we should remember who we are and be HAPPY TO PROCLAIM IT:  WE'RE CHILDREN OF THE KING OF KINGS - CITIZENS OF HEAVEN - POSSESSIONS OF JESUS CHRIST - AND GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT LIVES IN OUR HEARTS! This is a matter of HAPPY PROCLAMATION! We should know that the world will hate us, but we shouldn't think about denying CHRIST before men. NOW, more than ever, our testimony for CHRIST should be BOLD and UNWAVERING! The world is going to HELL - we're going to HEAVEN!

ANOTHER GOOD MORNING TO EVERYONE!

Many people in my neck of the woods had a rough day yesterday. Sadly, 15 people were killed in tornadoes, and thousands are either without electricity or homeless. Those same storms just missed us by a few miles to the NW of our city. The first forecasts indicated my specific part of the city where I live was going to get hit.

I'm giving thanks this morning for a long list of things, including that I still have a home. I'm sure that many would appreciate your prayers, especially those who lost loved ones.

Yes, it has gotten to be so much that I had to turn off the news and the computer just to get away from it all for a while. Instead I spent some extra time in prayer and Bible studies today.

I did turn the TV on to the weather station earlier and have been watching the storm reports. Those of us that were missed by these storms should indeed be giving thanks and praying for those that weren't missed, especially so for those who lost loved ones.

GOOD MORNING PASTOR ROGER AND ALL!

Brother, your post made me think of something that I've heard being talked about in various Christian circles. First, I'll say that I considered doing what is being talked about before I heard the conversations, and I don't have a very firm opinion on this yet.

Here's what's being talked about, and maybe you have heard some of your Christian friends talking about the same thing:   SWITCH OFF all of the problems of the world EXCEPT THE LOST and those specifically needing help that Christians normally provide. Let me make sure that I don't confuse anyone. The conversations are NOT about Christians withholding help to those in need - RATHER of Christians redirecting the vast majority of their efforts into areas more Christian that have a greater probability of actually being able to help. If you haven't heard anything about this, please reserve judgment until I've been able to tell you more.

Nothing has changed in terms of the work that Christians normally become involved in. We can still help feed and clothe the needy and do long lists of things that Christians have and are doing well in. We also know that GOD presents opportunities to all of us on a regular basis that we consider to be leading. NOW, many Christians are feeling overwhelmed in many areas where they can have little or no impact. In other words, there are thousands of battles involving wrong and not nearly enough Christians to fight all of the battles. Many of the battles are political or social - they consume lots of time - and they involve little or no chance of winning. As a result, many Christians are trying to budget their time and prioritize their efforts in areas where the LORD will be served the best. SO, in essence, they are SWITCHING OFF many problems for many reasons - including health and sanity.

Please don't confuse what I'm saying with isolation, laying down, and giving up. I'm talking about involving ourselves in work that is more specific TO AND FOR THE LORD as the highest priority. It should be obvious that we can't be crusaders for every political and social ill that we know is wrong. We could let many of these things monopolize our time to the extent that the MORE PURE WORK FOR THE LORD is neglected. The conversation is about NOT letting this happen. If there has to be something neglected or receive limited attention, let it be the political and social ills - NOT THE LORD'S WORK! If we get right down to the brass tacks, most of the political and social ills were caused by NEGLECT OF GOD, society turning its back on GOD, and many determined to disobey and even mock GOD. Pick a worthy cause from a huge list and know that we can't stop any of it (i.e. abortion, teen pregnancy/suicide, alcoholism, drug addiction, etc., etc.). We're actually fighting against cities, states, and national entities who are the CAUSE of many huge problems, and we are losing without much of a chance. NOW, look at things in a smaller scope and try to consider if time would be spent more wisely with individuals or groups. Also, consider the tactics to be GOD-centered.

I hope that I didn't confuse anyone, and I also hope that some of you have also heard like conversations. Christians are being stretched too far in causes - more causes than we could ever address. If more specific work for the LORD is being neglected, we need to stop and prioritize - PUTTING THE LORD FIRST IN ALL THINGS! I know that a lot of this is vague, but I hope you get the point. I'll give you one example, and I'll use myself. I'm a lousy political activist. If I wanted to pursue much in this specific area, I would be best fit as an executioner.

I'll give you one example, and I'll use myself. I'm a lousy political activist. If I wanted to pursue much in this specific area, I would be best fit as an executioner.   

 

Now that might be a worthwhile position. 

I fully understand what you mean. A person can become so involved just on one subject alone as a political activist that there would be absolutely no time to spend on anything else. A person could spend all day and half the night just sending emails or calling their political reps and in so doing miss the opportunity to do that which may be more beneficial. There is always a choice to be made and I pray the Lord leads me in the right direction and in doing the right things.

Hello Everyone!

I have been able to do some Bible Study and read a few devotions, so I'm ready to go for another wonderful day.

I've also been trying to find out how much help this 800+ billion dollar SPENDING BOONDOGGLE might be. After all of the PORK is paid for, average workers might see $13 a week more in their paycheck. Bluntly, it doesn't sound like much involving common sense will be done. I understand there was an 8 billion dollar railroad added to Las Vegas, so maybe this will help the gambling establishments that are losing money.

Nearly everything else that's being done is secret, and nobody knows what they will be voting for until after the vote. I also understand there was a recent overwhelming vote to allow the public to read and scrutinize bills for 48 hours before a vote. This was supposed to give the public an opportunity to object or offer more ideas. Well - GUESS! - that vote won't be honored, and the public won't be given an opportunity to see a single thing before the vote. It's SECRET - EVEN FOR THE PEOPLE VOTING ON THE BILL. This is TOO DANGEROUS to allow EVEN THE REPRESENTATIVE VOTERS to see it. WHY? - There would be an obvious DESIRE TO STOP IT!

I really feel sorry for those who are expecting lots of help from this bill. It just isn't in this bill. We have to worry about some sort of rat in San Francisco first - SERIOUSLY - and all kinds of other worthless PORK. Someone thinking this bill is going to help any significant number of people hurting needs another dose of anti-psychotic drugs. If you're working for ACORN, you might be getting some money. After all, they need to be paid off for all of the voter fraud and other illegal activities that helped to elect a President. If I remember correctly, their PAY-OFF is 8 billion dollars, and there are many other PAY-OFFS - many which did STAY IN THE BILL. There were other PAY-OFFS ADDED AT THE LAST MINUTE that only a handful of people know about. This is the perfect example of political corruption, fraud, and OUTRIGHT STEALING done by people who are ironically called lawmakers and legislators. WOW! - WHAT A SAD JOKE! One so-called legislator publicly said that the people DON'T CARE about wasting tax dollars on PORK. He represents the majority in Washington right now, and these clowns have lost touch with reality.

Lots of people ARE in desperate need of help, but WASHINGTON has to take care of PAY-OFFS AND PORK FIRST. By the time that those desperately needing help actually get it - IF EVER - we will all be so far in debt because of their reckless spending that it will take decades to pay. In the meantime - more and more will be suffering as a DIRECT RESULT OF WASHINGTON DECISIONS! The bottom line is simple:   we have put foxes, wolves, and coyotes in charge of the hen house. The egg supply is going to be way DOWN because they plan to eat the chickens!

YES - it's still morning - just barely. I do have my coffee, and I'm having a good time in reading a variety of Godly material.

I enjoy reading Godly material because of the stark contrast with this evil world. The contrast is getting greater by the hour now. The subject areas that come up involve Grace, Love, Order, Balance, Truth, Trust, Sincerity, and many other things this old world has very little of. As Christians, we should know where and to whom to go for things like this - GOD THE FATHER, GOD THE SON, AND GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT.

I'm positive that the lack of virtue in this world involves tremendous suffering. Mankind is very disappointing to others and the CREATOR. We already know that GOD intended much better for HIS CREATION, but HE gave mankind choice. We should all know that man chose to make a mess of things and ignore GOD. GOD did provide the instructions and even a perfect ROLE MODEL, but most of mankind went other directions - AWAY FROM GOD.

Brothers and Sisters, I think we are approaching the End Days of this Age Of Grace. GOD'S WORD makes it very clear that there are other Ages yet to come for this world, and they are quite different than this Age. The Tribulation Period is next. This evil world pays no attention to GOD, and GOD has been denied what is ALREADY HIS! Most don't believe GOD and think they can go on doing whatever they want to - generation after generation. GOD says these times will end, and HE will take what is HIS at HIS Appointed time. There is going to be a rude awakening one day soon, and it will be too late for those who have rejected and mocked GOD. This world is going to get so evil and intolerable that even evil men will be begging for rescue. Specifically, the Tribulation Period will be the worst 7 years in the history of mankind. ONLY CHRIST HIMSELF will be able to stop the horror and restore order at HIS SECOND COMING. As Christians, we should have great COMFORT AND JOY to know that we have a BETTER HOPE, and this world IS NOT OUR HOME!

Not only does he want to bring back the OLD AND UNCONSTITUTIONAL SO-CALLED FAIRNESS DOCTRINE -- THIS LOONEY TOON WANTS TO DO THE SAME THING WITH THE INTERNET!

This isn't related to so-called "FAIRNESS" at all - rather of limiting, controlling, or DENYING FREE SPEECH. By the way, this most obviously includes Christian FREE SPEECH.

Everyone should know that there are UNLIMITED METHODS  for ULTRA-LEFT LOONEY TOONS to get their message out in ALL FORMS OF MEDIA. This certainly includes RADIO AND THE INTERNET! There are EXPENSES involved for ALL, but they can get all the time they want. It doesn't appear that THEY WANT their OWN TIME, OWN PROGRAMS, AND OWN FACILITIES - even though these things are ALL available in AMPLE QUANTITIES. Instead, they want pieces of programs other people have already established AND ARE PAYING FOR. NO! - PERIOD! - END OF STORY!

I must also add that there are HUGE numbers of people who WILL NOT go quietly into SOCIALISM AND COMMUNISM! NO! - WE WILL NOT SIT DOWN AND BE QUIET!

When it does come out it will be in the guise of something else as the words Fairness Doctrine are to well known. Whatever semantics they use it will still be just the same. An attempt to silence any point of view except for theirs.

Yes, this will include the internet. Even forums such as this one will be required to allow the opposing point of views on all subjects. The claim is that it will only involve politics but watch how quickly such subjects as abortion, homosexuality and even anything that involves the use of the name Jesus becomes a political subject in their eyes.

That isn't the only LOONEY thing happening. I just found out, Obama invited John McCain, and Jon Kyl to a meeting today. The only thing is, they received the noticed to late. Neither Senators will meet with Obama cause the were left out of this economic stimulus package working party, and disagree with it. He is to reveal the package in Arizona's, Mesa's Dobson High School.

Senator John McCain calls it "robbing our future generations" and he is right. None of these dimwits have thought out, who has to pay for this stimulus package. My kids and my grand kids are the ones who are going to have to pay for this bill.

As far as I'm concerned, it's only fair for them to either pay their part of the bill or get their own. If not, we should demand our time on everything we disagree with and let them pay the bills. IT DOES WORK BOTH WAYS! I can think of 100's of outrageous things WE NEED EQUAL TIME ON - AND THAT INCLUDES TELEVISION! I will volunteer to do 50% of all kinds of goofy shows. Needless to say, it wouldn't be pretty. I think we could easily raise an ARMY of CHRISTIANS most willing to do radio, television, newspaper, and anything else involved. They would be paying the bill, so why not? They have much more programming at stake than we do, SO IT SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD DEAL TO ME! WE'LL SEE HOW LONG THEY LIKE IT!
