Hello everyone! Anything new going on with anyone? Nothing ever new here. Bored of everything. Anyone know when Rapture will be? No? Oh well.

That is cool. Looks like United States have second most medals with 34. Canada has none.

I hadn't paid attention to how many medals that have been won by each country. I did kind of expect China to be at the top of the list though. That is pretty normal for the country it is held in to get the most and it is understandable. Those athletes don't have to contend with jet lag and they are more used to the climate in that area.
I have been watching Michael Phelps though. He is quite the swimmer.

Good morning all, right at the moment, I do have the Olympics on TV. I'm listening to it while typing, drinking coffee.

Hello Everyone! I'm also drinking coffee and watching part of the Olympics. Many of the events are really quite amazing to watch. I enjoy watching a variety of events and do have a good idea about how much effort and years of training was necessary to be able to compete. Real strength in many events is quite graceful. Any number of events would be perfect examples. We're really watching some beautiful things that part of GOD'S CREATION can do. I like nearly all of the events and would have a hard time choosing favorites. Love In Christ, Tom Famous Christian Quotes 27 - "Let the pulpit resound with the doctrine and sentiments of religious liberty. Let us hear of the dignity of man's nature, and the noble rank he holds among the works of God.... Let it be known that... liberties are not the grants of princes and parliaments." -- John Adams

Well, I don't know about the rest of y'all. I sure can use a cup of coffee now. I think it's time to make a 1/2 a pot.

Hello DreamWeaver, Brother, you just convinced me, and you didn't have to twist my arm. YES - I must have a cup of coffee and take care of a few more things on my "to-do" list. By the way, I do know where my current to-do list is. It's just the previous to-do lists that are lost.

Hmmmmmmmmm COFFEE....... I can also see black-mail here brother, but I won't, nor tell your wife. I think those older "Honey-Do" lists just disappeared from spontaneous combustion. It probably has something to do with that dreaded global warming. Either that, or Al Gore set them on fire. Regardless, that's my story, and I'm sticking to it. I'll be back and forth for awhile, but goodnight to all.

Here I sit with a cup of coffee, looking over the last several posts and doing a lot of LOL. Coming here is sure to put a smile on my face. At church today we had a sad bit of news. Seems a few people in the church are dissatisfied with our pastor and have been nitpicking behind his back about how good he does his job. Well today it came out in the open, raw edged and painful to hear. Now our pastor is deeply hurt by the actions of a few and has said "he will leave if he is not wanted anymore". Well I will tell you I was in shock. I sat there in my pew and cried. And prayed about it. Why is it that a few dissatisfied people can ruin the harmony of a wonderful little church by cruel back-biting and pure meanness. I am heartsick about it as I sit now with my cup of coffee and share this news with my friends.
Our pastor is up in his eighty's and preaches the word of the Bible, straight from the Bible, with no sugar coating. He is a gift from God. Not many preachers like him are left and it will be a great sadness and shame on us if he leaves our church.
