GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!

YES - It is morning here - 2:30 AM.

Where is everyone? Please don't give the lame excuse that you're still in bed!   Grin

If so, GET UP LAZY BONES and do something useful.

Uh! Oh! - Never mind! - The sun isn't up yet. - My Bad!    Wink

BUT, it is daylight in some parts of the world. By the way, I just watch a replay of part of the Republican Convention. I'll just say that I have an urge to organize a MOOSE HUNT. I'll have to say that I'm very impressed with Sarah Palin.

Would that be MOOSE HUNTING in Wash DC? Yes, I am also very impressed with her not just in her speeches but in her record also.

 Grin   Grin   Grin    ROFL!

Regarding the moose found in Washington D.C., I don't think there is a proper way to field-dress or cook the moose in Washington D.C. I think that the moose found in Washington D.C. would not be EDIBLE and probably represent mutants of nature. Let's just say that I would reject instructions and recipes for Washington D.C. moose. I would rather eat Southwestern skunk than Washington D.C. moose, and that would be before testing the skunks for rabies.   Grin

There's a lot of wildlife in Washington D.C. that needs to be hunted and thinned out, but I don't think that any of it is edible. From everything I understand, Washington D.C. BULL smells bad and tastes bad regardless of cleaning and preparation methods. At least there are cleaning and preparation methods that remove the smell from Southwestern skunk, and they taste pretty good if prepared properly. I think this is a perfect opportunity to use a graphic I snagged from DreamWeaver once.

I've never eaten moose or skunk, but I have eaten elk and rattlesnake from Southwest Oklahoma. Both were excellent. Both were lean meat considered to be much more healthy than meats you can buy in the grocery store. I would suspect that moose would be in the same category - lean and healthy. It's actually been quite some time since I've eaten anything considered to be wild, but I can tell you that elk and deer are delicious. We can drive just a few miles and eat longhorn and buffalo, and both are excellent. Longhorn and buffalo are pretty domesticated in my part of the country, and they're managed much like cattle. Both have much leaner meat than cattle, and both have an excellent flavor cooked many ways. I think that I'll also pass on the skunk.   Grin

I've had a lot of whitetail deer as that is what we mostly have here. I have had buffalo, longhorn, Idaho big elk, bighorn sheep, antelope, moose, rabbit, squirrel, and even some bear. It was all quite good. Hunting along with vegetable and fruit tree gardening is how my Dad managed to feed so many.

I once ate a moose burger. Thought it was a hamburger. It was good.

Hello Brother David and All!

NOW I know that I have to eat some moose, but what happens if everyone else has the same idea? The price of MOOSE might skyrocket. If Palin gets elected, it might not be a bad idea to become a MOOSE HERDER!

UM? - You would definitely want more than one, so would that be MEESE, MOOSES, MOOSI, or what?   Grin

I have a question but don't want to start a new topic.

Brother Tom, in a thread you said that Peter was crucified upside down. I don't think it is in Bible because an article in ilumina said that the way he died isn't clear. Question is what is the source of your statement?

There are a large number of written stories about Peter. Some of these stories are highly questionable as history, but they all agree when speaking of Peter's death, he was crucified in Rome during the time of Nero. Some of these stories are quite early, for example "The Acts of Peter" (2nd century AD). It is from "The Acts of Peter" that we get the story of Peter being crucified upside-down. Peter requested that he be crucified upside-down because he was "unworthy to die in the same manner as my Lord."

About AD 200, Tertullian, a Christian teacher, mentions the deaths of Peter and Paul as occurring in Rome under Nero.

Peter's death is also found in Caius, an ecclesiastical writer (3rd century), who says that Peter and Paul "suffered martyrdom about the same time."
