Brothers and Sisters, It's just wet and drizzly here - YUK! It didn't do anything that the weatherman said it might - so what's new in Oklahoma? I think that folks with allergy problems would be happy to see at least one freeze to clean up the air some. By the way, I do have my coffee, and I can tell you for certain that 300 cc's is not enough. I don't know how much it will take, but I plan to find out. UM? - I haven't tried coffee in an IV yet, but it sounds like an interesting idea. However, what about the taste and smell? AH!

I didn't have near enough coffee to deal with what happened to me yesterday! We had over 12 in of rain and major flooding! You may have seen it on the news in your area. Schools are closed, etc, etc. But that was only the beginning for me. By the time I got to work I was sopping wet up to my knees and finally went home around 1pm as I wasn't feeling well. I got home and instead of coming in and going to bed like I really wanted to; I jumped in my van to run and pick up a prescription. I was barely out of my driveway when my power steering went out. I made it to get my Rx anyway and then to Shuck's for power steering fluid...Only that wasn't the problem. A belt had come off. The radiator is blown. Oil is leaking every where! It is still parked at Shuck's and I took another bus home. That took FOREVER because of traffic because of flooding because of roads blocked off because of emergency vehicles working over time....... I finally got home 4 hours after leaving work to go home and buried my head in the covers! I'm will call a tow place today...Cash for Cars...and have them come and get what I already knew was just a matter of time.
Bottom line though...."All things work for the good to them that love the Lord". So, although it was and is a huge inconvenience, if that nasty, McNasty Old Snake thinks he's going to steal my joy...he's got the wrong gal! Amen. And now I leave you to go get on yet another bus to go do my work for the Lord!
Have a blessed day you guys! Grammyluv

I'm sorry to hear all the problems you are facing there sister. I did hear that the weather was pretty nasty in that whole area. Are they going to shoot your vehicle and put it out of it's misery? Bottom line though...."All things work for the good to them that love the Lord". So, although it was and is a huge inconvenience, if that nasty, McNasty Old Snake thinks he's going to steal my joy...he's got the wrong gal! Amen.

Sister Yvette,
You are in our prayers.
I have watched some weather reports for your part of the country, and they are WILD! to say the least. My older Brother lives near one place that's getting hit hard NOW as we speak with winds over 100 mph and flooding. All of the people in that part of the country are in my prayers. I just heard this news, so I will be checking on family members in a few minutes. I won't be surprised to find out that there isn't any electricity or phone service there.
Sister, you've already remembered that GOD works everything out for good to those who love HIM, so I have confidence that GOD will care for you and all of HIS Children. The time might be soon when HE Comes to take us HOME. I'm ready!
Love In Christ, Tom
2 Timothy 4:16-18 NASB At my first defense no one supported me, but all deserted me; may it not be counted against them. But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that through me the proclamation might be fully accomplished, and that all the Gentiles might hear; and I was rescued out of the lion's mouth. The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed, and will bring me safely to His heavenly kingdom; to Him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

I just heard there was a 400 mile detour around a short section of I-5 in Oregon and Washington due to flooding and high winds. I remember some of the heavy rains and winds that would hit the Seattle area but I think this one is one of the worst. My prayers have been and will be with all that are in that area.

Yes. We've got pretty strong winds today which might be good, as long as the power stays on, in that it will dry up this mess! Where is your brother?

I can picture it right now ... a Charlie Brown umbrella event. (Poor Charlie Brown Grammy ) Sister, ya gotta laugh when such things happen. It helps to get through it quicker.

You are exactly right on that. The laughing part. I'm a pretty upbeat person anyway so it's not too hard! I'm not stressin' though. God wants to carry our loads and I'm more than willing to let Him!

Hello Sister Yvette, My older Brother lives in Corvalis, Oregon. That about 60 miles South of Portland. I understand that almost the entire area is shut down. I think that some of the reports I listened to regarded conditions early this morning, so I hope and pray that things have improved. The news has not been very good and specific on this yet. Love In Christ, Tom

Update: I've had my coffee today and feel great. Cash for cars came and took that old van off my hands and a little pocket money to boot, last night. My daughter and son-in -law took me over to old wreak so that I could empty it out. Rains have subsided up here. I-5 was shut down for 2 days south past Olympia. I haven't watched the news lately, so I don't know if it's open again yer, but I know there was a lot of damage done to homes, apts, condo's, cars etc. I'll talk to ya more about Ore. later. I used to live there too! In fact, I've lived all over the place. Pretty much a "rolling stone" most of my life. Gotta go to a meeting, Grammyluv

According to the weather channel (which has been notorious for being behind the times) I-5 is still closed down from Portland, Or up to just south of Seattle, WA with a 400 mile detour on routes 84, 82 and 90. The major part of the flooding that has it blocked off is in the Chehalis, WA area.
We just got a little dusting of snow last night and this morning. Just enough to cover the grass. Just a few miles north of us though I guess really got quite a bit and is supposed to get a whole lot more.

Goodevening to you all. Seems everytime i get on-line I have to many places to go, and not enough time to do it all. Very sorry to hear of your troubles, GrammyLuv, but with all said and done I am glad you made it back home safe and sound. I was amazed at the news reports of those bad storms. Seems to me Washington State had a bad wind storm, was it this spring or last winter. Bad windstorms and flooding are not good this time of year. Been praying that everyone is ok. Anyways glad to be here, relaxing, coffee cup glued to hand so I cannot lose it, and in the company of good friend's on this forum. The weather has been good here, no snow, but cold mornings 39-48 degrees and warming to 75 degrees. I know thats what you northerners consider to be wonderful Spring weather, but in Florida, burrrrr.... we freeze. LOL

Well I'm up and I've had my coffee and now I'm thinking about some eggs! Where are my Three Musketeers? I've missed you! And the rest of you too! It's been a really busy week getting settled into my new job and I'm loving every minute of it. I believe I'm going to be teaching a parenting class in new trimester after the holidays are over, starting in January. I'm very excited about it as I love teaching but I'm not sure I'm qualified. However, Noah never built an ark before and Moses never led a multitude out of slavery before they both were called either. I've spent the last two weeks on a day shift getting oriented and tomorrow, Sunday, is my first solo flight as evening supervisor/ case manager! I'm just praying that the rest of the staff don't find me tied up and gagged by the clients, sitting in an obscure corner of the mission on Monday morning! Weather report for the Great Northwest: COLD! I believe that I-5 was opened up yesterday to trucks only and they were going to open it up to cars later in the day or possibly today. I just got that off of a newspaper headline at the bus stop yesterday. I have a really hard time watching "secular news" so I'm usually the last to know what is going on in my own area! My ol' mini van broke down for the last time last week so I'm without a vehicle of my own right now. Good thing my daughters live near by and will take me grocery shopping and etc. I'll pick up something after I get my income tax check. The great thing is that I don't mind taking the bus and will only need the vehicle for picking up on my grandson on my days off. I'll be saving quite a bit of money also, considering gas prices and insurance costs so I'll have something to put with the tax return toward a car. Okay Guys! WAKE UP! Daylights a wasting! (Actually, it's still dark here )
