Jesus, remember me... Luke 23:42

Dear CU brothers and sisters –
This is hard for me, because I feel like a failed father.
I need your prayers for my daughter.  She is 18, and has run from the Body of Christ that she was publicly baptized into just 4 years ago.  She currently has severe emotional and anger problems, and probably drug problems; although I can’t verify that.  My wife and I don’t even know where she stays night to night.  Please pray for her well being and her return to Christ’s arms so she may have His strength to defeat her emotional stress.  Her name is Charity.

(Please pray for strength and His comfort for Mr. & Mrs. JudgeNot, also.)

I love you guys – and I understand the power of prayer in numbers.

Thank you in Jesus name.

JN, I understand what you mean about feeling like a failed father. Believe me that is not the case. A parent can do all that is possible but it is ulimately up to Charity to make the decision of what path she takes. My prayers that she will return to the right path.

My prayers are with you all.

Hey JudgeNot,  Smiley

I'm sorry to hear what you and your wife are going through, I will be praying for you both and your daughter!
I would say my dad probably went through much the same thing with me...  Sad

I have grown up going to church, surrounded by a strong christian family.... I was 17 when I got into the wrong crowd, I was dating a non-christian, going to parties and getting drunk. Even smoking marijuana a bit too... I wasn't going to church and I didn't keep much in contact with my parents.

When my bf and I broke up, I was heartbroken and I ended up turning back to God... I wanted that happiness and peace back that only God could give me.

I do believe in the power of prayer and I believe that your daughter will eventually come back to God. Sometimes as teenages we have to go through certain things to learn from our mistakes, and to never go back there later in life.

Have faith in Jesus and expect your prayers to be answered!
Don't think that you failed as a father because at 18 your daughter is old enough to make her own choices. All you can do is pray for her and be there when she needs you and when she comes back to God.

God Bless

JudgeNot,

Brother, your family will be in my prayers at least daily. We will all lay this at the feet of JESUS.

In the meantime - KEEP LOOKING UP!

Love in Christ,
Tom

My precious brother Judge, I have been praying for you daily, and now I will add your daughter, Charity, (her very name is love) and your wife.  This situation IS stressful.  Judge, just lay your daughter at the feet of Jesus.  Leave her there.  He WILL take care of her. You brought her up to the best of your ability.  You couldn't have done more.....................YOU ARE NOT A FAILURE.  That's the enemy trying to make you feel guilty...........reject that thought right now in the name of Jesus Christ.  Blue_Acoustic gave you good advice, and that post was so encouraging.  Grab hold of it.  Everything will be alright.............it will.  You may not feel like that right now,  but IT WILL.  Just keep on, keepin' on! Wink

Love ya brother,

Grace and peace,
cris
