Jesus, remember me... Luke 23:42

I can't tell you the name of the little girl who sang the national anthem tonight (6/12/05) on 'ABC' before the NBA finals game.  I CAN tell you she did a wonderful job and there were a lot of proud soldiers in her personal attendance (it was simulcast from Iraq).  They seemed to fully recognize the singing of the anthem, and they proudly demonstrated its significance to us (U.S.).

God bless our troops.

As much as we (those of us in our 50+ years) find fault in today's generation there always seems to be events that say 'our kids are alright.'  Tonight's recognition that our troops are at the very center of America's concern was welcomed.

For what-its-worth: Personal Opinion FYI:  Each day I scan front page news from a dozen or so sources.  (The Firefox Browser makes it REALLY easy!)  For a while now, ABC seems to be more consistent in 'plain reporting' than most other sources.  Although they still cater to the 'PC' crowd (probably out of fear) I've noted that they seem to go out of their way to report more news - not just news which may promote a particular agenda.  Of course, that could change in the next 4 hours...

Anyone else have a take on who to watch/where to read "unbiased" reporting?

I normally don't watch a lot of sports but I would have liked to seen that little girl singing the National Anthem and the Soldiers response. That would have been heart warming.

Every news agency has a certain degree of bias. Some more than others. I usually watch Fox, but even their reports are biased. I also get my news from the internet so I get a wider range of viewpoints on a given subject.
