As some of you know, my friend's sixteen year old son had a heart attack a couple of weeks ago, and actually died! Paramedics were able to revive him, but he was in a coma, and had an enlarged heart. I asked you to pray for Jos, and here's an e-mail the family just sent me!!!
Hi everyone,
Thanks so much for all your love, support, and prayers! Yesterday Josh was transferred to Hamilton General Hospital, we met with the cardiologist at 9:30 in the morning and by noon Josh had surgery. He had a defibrillator implanted which will be a safety precaution should he ever go into cardiac arrest again. It’s like having paramedics inside your chest! The surgery went well and today he was released to come home. So after 11 days in 3 hospitals Josh is starting his new future. We are so thankful for God’s presence during the last couple of weeks and are astonished at His mercy and grace in our lives. He has kept us sane, kept us hoping and gave us incredible peace!!! We will never be the same as a family and I have never appreciated the medical community as much as I do now. We have had amazing Dr’s and nurses and have been treated excellent everywhere we’ve gone. Even our accommodations were like home.
Josh was told to go home and get on with his life. He is still pretty tired and has some short term memory loss but everyday we see an improvement and are quite confident that time will heal all of this.
