First, you must admit that you, me, your mother-in-law, yup,
everybody is a
SINNER:
as it is written: "None is righteous, no, not one;

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Do you believe God about this? If so, then read on...
Second, you must understand that this position of being a sinner has a price...
For the wages of sin is death...
Romans 6:23a
Do you believe God about this? If so...
Third, you must know that God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to pay that price for you by dying on the cross for your sins...
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8
...and...
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
John 3:16-18
Do you believe God about this? You may or may not. If you do, then...
because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. For the Scripture says, "Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame." For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. For "everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
Romans 10:9-13
Yup! It's that simple. You just have to
believe God when He says that we're all sinners, that He demands death as payment for that sin debt, that He sent His Son Jesus Christ to die that death for us on the cross, that He was buried and on the third day rose again, and that to accept this gift, all it takes is
believing God, and
asking His forgiveness, and
accepting His gift! That's the best news you'll ever hear! But do you believe God about it? If so...
THEN TELL HIM!!!!Just pray, "Father, I know that I'm a sinner. I know that sin deserves my death. I know that Jesus came, died, was buried and risen again for me, for my sin. I believe You. Please forgive my sin. I accept You're payment for my sin. Thank you Jesus for saving me!"
