May I ask, what was it about your husband that -

a) attracted you to him initially

and

b) made you decided he was the one you wanted to marry?

Thanks  Smiley

When I first met my husband 21 years ago, I was at school and he was already graduated. He brought a friend to school and came back to my seat and started to talk to me.  He was so interested in what I had to say.  He listens to me and he still does.  I was attracted to him because he asked nothing of me no kissing no groping.  And I was so relieved because all the other guys were after one thing and thats why I dumped them.  He had a gentle spirit and I learned why, he was a christian.  I must say that I was also attracted to his rugged good looks and his hopped up Camaro.  My parents were not so happy about my choice and  let me know under no uncertian terms that he was not welcome.  I did marry him after a 3 year courtship.  I did pray to God and ask if this was the one and I got a overwhelming yes.  I tell this to my girls often and let them know that their decision should be a  final one like mine.  I made sure he was the one by asking questions and seeing how he treated his mom and how he loved his cousins.  I knew he would be a good father and treat me and our childdren well.  Needless to say my parents changed their opinion of him when they saw what I already knew.
I pray for my daughers that God will guide and direct their hearts to the right person or if they remain single, thats okay too.

His intelligence and humor were the initial attraction for me.   His obvious enjoyment in being a husband and father (he was a widower with a 4 and 5 year old) was the clincher.
