Some interesting websites concerning the birth of Christ...
http://www.themoorings.org/apologetics/chronology/Chrmas.htmlhttp://www.redbay.com/ekklesia/birth.htm A very good site, not as hard to read as the other. Lots of cool facts.
This one is great too...
http://www.new-life.net/chrtms10.htmI like listening to the radio around Christmas...lots of great music that ought to be played year-round...I don't like Santa and Jingle Bell stuff, but there's a big supply of the songs I do like.
I've been craving noise this holiday season. I just can't stand to hear Christmas sung quiet and sweet. This is the God-man, the Mystery, the Word Made Flesh, and He's coming back with the hosts of heaven. A group called the Trans Siberian Orchestra does a pretty good job meeting my noise need, although I've only heard one or two of their songs...
I was thinking this year how hard it is to ruin a good song; no matter how its done, I always like "Ring Christmas Bells", and Manneheim Steamroller does a version of this song that makes it sound like the dead rising to life.
Joy to the World isn't exactly a Christmas song, and it shouldn't be confined to December. Its about the last days and eternity, when Christ returns and takes the world for His inheritance.

14 more Days!!!! Don't scare me like that! I've still got presents to make! I told myself a long time ago I'd finish all the presents early so I wouldn't be stuck frantically sewing and baking and what-all three days before Christmas...but here I am, at the end of another buying/making/wrapping season, working my bum off...
