 ???Blaspheme Huh
OK... We had a class about this a few weeks ago, and it's gotten' to where it upsets me a little. So I want to know someone elses P.O.V.!!

Mark 3:29 But whoever blasphemes aginst the Holy Sprit will never be forgiven; he is guilty of an enternal sin"My preacher decribed Blaspheme as "Rejecting God; reject calvary/Jesus; and reject the Holy Sprit"

~However, could this really be something that is forever?
~Could someone's heart really be so cold and hard that God would never be able to use them in any way?
~How many people are walking around, are like this?
~To never be able to repent for what you have done?

God's love is everlasting!!! From the east to the west!!! I guess this would be beyond my grasp. Anyone know how to maybe explane it better???

Pixie,

I explained this in another thread.   I believe blaspheming the Holy Spirit is rejecting His leading to Christ.   If you reject salvation, there simply is no other way for forgivness.  It is the Holy Spirit who moves a mans heart when He hears the Gospel, to refuse this calling, is to refuse the only forgivness there is.   How long will God call a mans heart through his Holy Spirit?  I'm not sure, but it certainly will not go beyond death.   This is why it is so important for those who hear the Gospel and fully understand what they are hearing, not to wait.   There is no promise for tomorrow, but there is promise today.  Receive the truth and have life while its knocking at the door.

Grace and Peace!

Look at the scripture in context. The scribes are saying Jesus`s power (the power of the Holy Spirit) is the power of satan. Read the  verse following the one you quoted and it explains His statement: "Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit."
Blaspheme as translated means to speak evil of, or in context, to call that which is the power of God, the power of satan.

There are various forms of Blasphemy Exodus 22:28, Leviticus 24:10-16, Ezekiel 35:12,13 John 10:33-36 and Acts 6:11.

and in Mark 3:28 the unforgivable blasphemy here is the act of dliberately associating the power and the work of Jesus who is full of the Holy Spirit with the work of Satan. This is to equate supreme spiritual good with supreme spiritual evil, hardening one's heart in a way that makes repentance and therefore forgiveneess impossible.

Also it is a Eternal defiance of God which will at the end will be Eternal Punishement. Remeber Scriptures says the Holy Spirit is a person and can be hurt and rejected.

John 16:13

Acts 13:2

1 Corinthians 2:11

Hebrew 9:14

Ezekiel 11:23

Ezekiel 9:3
