Raising the man up
I nail his bloody hands to the tree
And his bloody feet
Brush against me

He is limp and he's weak
But I scowl when he smiles at me
And with each nail
I feel the blood flow down

Like a river it flows down upon my face
As I look up at his mangled flesh
And I swear I can taste
The blood  he's spilling

And back away and look
At what I've done
And I see him looking at me
Piercing through me like the nails I drove through him

And all I can do
Is walk away

Powerful verse truly a beautifully penned write. Almost makes the reader feel as though they are speaking with one of the Roman soldiers who nailed Jesus to the cross. Wonderful use of imagery.

Wow, that is an awesome poem.  It makes me feel like I'm right there.

Faith means being sure of the things we hope for and knowing that something is real even if we do not see it. Hebrews 11:1
The shortest distance between a problem and a solution is the distance between your knees and the floor. The one who kneels to the Lord can stand up to anything.
