I was forced to go to church growing up and it caused me to stop going when I had the choice. Thankfully I found my way back. What's strange to me though is that so many children of church officials do this too. I would love some opinions on this. I am dating a pastor's son and he isn't active in church for the reason I discussed.

Hiya Alliecat Grin

Sweetie, I would Pray over the matter and let God turn your boyfriend back to God and Church.

What type of Church does he go too and is his father the Preacher there?!

Blessings,  \o/

We are both Baptist. I go to a different church than the one his dad is over. Sadly, my boyfriend doesn't ever go to his Dad's church or any for that matter. It seems like his parents would be upset and say something.

Ah alliecat,

Thanks fo telling me this!  I am Baptist too!!

I think his parents don't have things at home under control very well.

You're right, saying something could make it worse between you two.  Try and work it out between yoursleves, Pray over the matter. Most of all Give it to God in Prayer!

Blessings sweetie,  \o/

This is so interesting. My husband grew up in a Baptist church. He too rebelled & did things he regrets now. He went off to college, got in a  Christian group & has completely found his way back.
I would try finding a church of your very own. My husband & I now attend a non-denominational church & have started a tradition on our own. We love it. It has so many young people about our age.
Continue to pray for him! He will come around!
