my "Catch -22"

I am sooooo sorry I have not been intouch with many of you in quite a few weeks. We are still working on refinancing our home,and getting me ID so that I can get on a plane to see my mother in N.Y.  the only "hold-up" is my Florida photo ID card. I needed to get another Birth Cert., as the one I have is from the hospital and they don't accept that. Then I needed to get my marriage lic., current and past. In order to obtain these copies I needed a STATE PHOTO ID CARD! I needed to FAX a copy of what I was trying to get, in order to get what I needed to get it!!!!
CRAZY!!!!
I have spent $175.00 so far in overnight mail, phone calls and faxes...and nothing is here yet! I am just about to give up! The marriage lic. (current) and birth cert. was supposed to be here yesterday afternoon by 3:00 PM...NOPE!
It is so frustrating! I understand the need for security, but, I was born in America, never been arrested, pay my taxes...and yet...I do not exist! I cannot get a DL because of my poor vision!
I am in a real "Catch-22".

Wow cathe, sounds like your going through a pretty stressful time. Sorry to hear that & I hope it gets better! $175 is quite a lot of $$$ to get photo IDs & Such!

I can relate though. My husband who was born & raised in Ireland has been in the USA for almost 25 years and we recently received a letter that stated he needed to get his citizenship in the next 30 days or he would face some sort of prosecutution that could also lead to deportaion. Trying to get this completed has been a nightmare in itself! One phone call after another after another & we keep getting directed to call this place, fax this paperwork over, go see this person. We even traveled 40 miles from our home to this building which didn't even exsist since late 2003!! Horrible, so I can relate somewhat what your going thru.

Yeaaaaah, but have ya ever been to poor to win a free truck?  I am!  Really!  Actually was told that when my name was drawn to win a Ford Bronco I didn't make enough money to afford a free truck.  That'll deflate ya!  Hopefully it'll lift you up a little.    Prayin' for ya.  Bright side?  Jesus knows ya.  Chose ya before the foundations of the world...
