I agree with you Davoarid, the majority will claim that the minority is a cult.  It may or may not be true, but the majority often makes the rules.

In early church history there were certain groups that believed in a christ figure or some messianic entity, but did not believe in Jesus as the Christ.  These are often refered to as "Christ cults" to differentiate them from Christianity.

Not necessarily true. Cults are not defined by the number of adherents.
