Well, I'm new to this forum so I guess this is a good place to post this (I mean, in the prayer requests.)
I have a friend, and she's a really good person. She's had a troubled past, and she never really grew up in any sort of Christian home. She has been baptized, but she's lost. lately she's been talking about going to the middle east and becoming Islamic. Sometimes she says she's Christian, and acts like it, and other times she says she's not Sad. I think she's searching for God, but in all the wrong places. Can anyone give me advice on how to help her find what she's looking for? Huh

I'm not really the one who should be answering this question...but I'll try!

I believe the very best thing you can do is pray for her. God works in wonderful ways when His people pray. Don't stop, either, even if it seems you aren't getting an answer.

Be with her. Share your life with her; let her see how Christ works in you and through you. It is surprising how different true Christians are from worldly folks and "pretend" Christians; not because of their own goodness, but simply because God is shining from them.

People don't "find" God by looking in all the right places; she won't come to have a relationship with the Savior until God has made her heart ready to receive Himself. No matter where her church or home is, no matter what Christians or Islamics say to influence her. This doesn't mean you should stop trying; you may be one of the tools God is using to turn her heart around!

Be obedient to God; really, that's all you can do. You can't make spiritual decisions for your friend, but she may make them based on your witness. Show her the truth as often as you can, either by your life or by passages of scripture. Keep her lifted up in prayer; I will too!
