“No fascists or parasites should be allowed to exist next to us, because we may run short of pesticides,” said Mufti Talgat Tadzhuddin, the chairman of the Central Spiritual Board of Muslims of Russia speaking in Ufa, the capital of the Russian Republic of Bashkiria.

On the occasion of the Eid al-Adha holiday, he prayed for the Muslim and non-Muslim soldiers involved in the “special military operation” in Ukraine.

“We are proud of our vast Motherland and a worthy national leader, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin,” the Mufti said. He introduced the audience to Imam Khamza, who will soon go to Ukraine along with volunteers from Bashkiria.

Blinken says Taliban 'grossly' violated Doha agreement by sheltering al Qaeda's Zawahiri

The United States killed al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri with a drone missile while he stood on a balcony at his home in Kabul, U.S. officials said, the biggest blow to the militants since Osama bin Laden was shot dead more than a decade ago.

Afghanistan's Taliban government has not confirmed the death of Zawahiri, an Egyptian surgeon who had a $25 million bounty on his head and helped to coordinate the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on the United States that killed nearly 3,000 people.

Egyptian father goes on trial in Texas for shooting dead his two daughters, 17, and 18, in his taxi cab in 2008 honor killings because they were 'too American'

The trial of the father who authorities believe to have murdered his teenage daughters in a 2008 'honor killing' began Tuesday after Monday's jury selection.

The prosecution is not seeking death penalty against Yaser Abdel Said, 65, but he would automatically receive a life sentence if convicted. 

The Egyptian-born cab driver who lived with his family just north of Dallas, Texas, allegedly shot to death his daughters, 17-year-old Sarah and 18-year-old Amina, in his taxi after telling them they were going out to eat on New Years Day 14 years ago.

'Help, my dad shot me! I'm dying,' Sarah could be heard in a 911 call she managed to make after she was shot. Investigators said Amina was killed instantly.

It is widely speculated Said committed the honor killing - a practice where individuals are murdered for bringing perceived shame on their family - after he discovered Amina had a non-Muslim boyfriend and because he thought they were becoming 'too American.'

4 kids among Nigerian Christians killed in attack on their homes
Youth leader says a baby's hand was cut off

Suspected Fulani herdsmen on Sunday killed seven Christians, including four children, in an attack in Plateau state, Nigeria, following months of violence in neighboring Taraba state, sources said.

Following a July 21 attack in Fusa village, Plateau state that left five Christians dead, assailants on Sunday invaded Danda Chigwi village in the state’s Jos South County shortly after 7 p.m., said area resident Dagah Dung.

A Christian youth leader in the village, Rwang Tengwong, said in a press statement that two other people were injured in the attack southwest of Jos, including a 4-month-old baby whose hand was cut off. Tengwong identified the slain as Ruth Gyang Bot, 16; Chundung Pam Gyang, 9; Mercy James Gyang, 12; Benjamin Pam Gyang, 5; Pam Gyang Dawho, 59; Nvou Pam Gyang, 43; and Jah Dung Pam, 50.

 If the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results, both the Biden administration and the European Union are out to lunch.

Senior Iranian, U.S. and European officials arrived in Vienna for talks this week to revive the 2015 nuclear deal, after the European Union presented Iran with a new draft text.

What this means is that the E.U. has proposed yet more concessions to Iran. This follows the dismal pattern of Iranian aggression followed by concessions followed by increased aggression.

Hezbollah Plunges Lebanon Further into the Abyss

By any metric, Lebanon represents the classic textbook definition of a failed state. The nation is characterized by sectarian rivalry, bread lines, chronic fuel shortages, rolling blackouts, substandard healthcare, and mountains of uncollected garbage. Bullet-riddled buildings, pot-marked by years of internecine conflict, dot the Lebanese landscape. Lebanon’s judiciary remains virtually non-existent, except in rare instances where Lebanese citizens are caught maintaining benign, cordial contact with the “Zionist Entity.” In those cases, the Lebanese judiciary acts with alacrity to prosecute the “guilty.”

Lebanon’s caretaker government has defaulted on its foreign debt. Hyperinflation has wiped out the lifesavings of most Lebanese, 80 percent of whom live at, or below the poverty line. Banks remain shuttered for obvious reasons. Some Lebanese have resorted to self-help methods to retrieve their money. In one notable instance, a Lebanese man walked into a bank with a loaded firearm demanding to withdraw his money. The bank manager dutifully complied. Though arrested, he was soon released because of intense public pressure and will likely walk away with barely a slap on the wrist.   

Part of the reason for this disfunction lies with the government, which is rife with corruption and mismanagement. But the main reason for Lebanon’s disfunction, paralysis and failed-state status is the existence Iran’s malignant proxy militia, Hezbollah.

The recent killing of al-Zawahiri inspires a look back.

Now that both Osama bin Laden and Ayman al-Zawahiri—the original faces and leaders of al-Qaeda—are dead, it is interesting to reflect on how the terror strikes of 9/11 impacted me.  Although I now often write on topics such as the Muslim persecution of Christians and the historical interaction between Islam and the West, following September 11, 2001, my focus shifted to the specter of modern day Islamic terrorism in the guise of al-Qaeda.  As such, almost all of my earliest work—published articles, first book (The Al Qaeda Reader), and media appearances, stretching back to 2005—revolved around al-Qaeda; and even more so on the recently slain al-Zawahiri than bin Laden himself, as the former was always the organization’s chief ideologue.

Because they may make for interesting or edifying viewing/reading—not least as al-Qaeda remains a serious threat—below are two of those media appearances and one article, all from fifteen years ago:

State Minister of Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam has described the situation of Kazi Anarkoly, the diplomat who was recalled from the Indonesia mission under allegations of keeping narcotics in her home, as an ‘unfortunate and embarrassing’ incident.

“We are investigating,” he told the media at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday. “We saw the news, but it isn’t just a matter of seeing it. We had heard about the official's situation a few days prior. We are looking into it. It is embarrassing for us.”

Anarkoly, the deputy chief of the Jakarta mission, was detained for ‘having a large amount of marijuana’ in her home and was brought back from Jakarta, according to several news reports on Tuesday.

Austria: Syrian stabs 15-year-old boy with knife

Avisit to the Villach fair ended in a terrible event for a 15-year-old youth. Instead of being able to enjoy all the pleasures of the fair with friends, he became the target of a thuggish Syrian of the same age. He attacked him with a knife. As a result, the boy had to be treated by the emergency services.

According to police reports, a young man was the victim of a knife attack on Tuesday evening at the Villach fair. The attack was preceded by a verbal argument. The Syrian boy then pulled out a knife and stabbed his opponent, causing minor injuries.

After a short search, the 15-year-old youth from Syria was arrested and taken to the police station on Villach’s main square. The witnesses immediately recognised him in a police interview.

Arab civil war in Essen, Germany: It is all about a parking space

Abackground for the civil war-like clashes on June 25 in Essen has been clarified. Up to 400 members of extended Arab families attacked each other with knives, baseball bats, tables and chairs. Several people were injured, one of them fatally.

A small question from the AfD parliamentary group to the state government has now shed some light on the matter. According to this, a dispute over a parking space is said to have triggered the mass brawl. This was reported by the Ministry of the Interior led by Herbert Reul (CDU). The “Battle of Essen” had caused quite a stir, especially since there were repeated clashes between clan members in the city in the following days.

A spokesperson for the Islamic Jihad terror group's Jenin Battalion, which is accompanied by armed activists, read out a notice threatening terror attacks against Israel in response to the arrest of Islamic Jihad leader Basa'am Asadi earlier this week.

"We will scatter the heads of Zionists and their bodies on the mountaintops," the spokesperson said.

In a video attached to the threatening message, armed terrorists can be seen shooting at IDF forces during previous operations in the Jenin area.

NIA arrests two more in murder of pharmacist Umesh Kolhe

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested two more accused in connection with the murder of a pharmacist Umesh Kolhe, who circulated objectionable Whatsapp posts on Prophet Muhammad made by Bharatiya Janata Party’s suspended spokesperson, Nupur Sharma.

NIA arrested Abdul Arbaz and Maulavi Mushfique Ahmed on August 2. As per the press release by the central agency, the arrested accused are criminal associates of earlier arrested accused persons, namely Irfan Shaikh, Shoaib Khan, Mudassir Ahmed, Aatif Rashid, Yusuf Khan, Abdul Toufiq and Shahrukh Pathan and one wanted accused namely, Shamim Ahmed Firoj Ahmed.

Poor living conditions in Gaza lead to suicides and protests against Hamas

In the 15 years since Hamas took over the Gaza Strip, the two million Palestinian Arabs who live there have had daily reminders that the Iranian-sponsored terror group has failed to create proper living conditions.

According to the Gatestone Institute’s Khaled Abu Toameh, conditions in Gaza have deteriorated to the point that increasingly young people have been committing suicide by jumping off rooftops, taking overdoses of medicine, hanging themselves and by self-immolation.

Islamic Extremists Murder Christian, Brutally Attack Church Service After 8 Muslims Choose Jesus

A Christian man in eastern Uganda died on July 10 from head injuries sustained in an attack by Muslim extremists the previous week, sources said.

Morning Star News reports the man, identified as Robert Bwenje, 28, had accompanied Assistant Pastor Ambrose Mugisha of the Elim Pentecostal Church in Nyamiringa village to an open-air debate about Christianity and Islam that was held at the Sirimula village, Kyankwanzi District on July 6.

During the debate, several Muslims threatened and challenged the men.

Near-lynching in Jerusalem

Two brothers were attacked by a group of Arab workers near the Ma'alot Dafna neighborhood of Jerusalem Thursday.

The victims were evacuated by Magen David Adom staff to Hadassah Mount Scopus Hospital in Jerusalem.

One of the victims had lost consciousness and was taken away by an intensive care vehicle. Upon arrival at the hospital, the victim was transferred to the trauma room where he is currently being treated.
