DuckDuckGo says new desktop browser will help you ditch Chrome in 2022

The privacy-focused search company DuckDuckGo is bringing its well-regarded web browser app to desktop devices.

The company reckons that early tests reveal a browser that’s faster than Google Chrome with the significant bonuses of being both safer and more private. Like the iOS and Android mobile app, it’ll have the Fire button that clears all tabs and browsing data in just one tab.

In a blog post, DuckDuckGo says it’ll be built on the same infrastructure as its mobile browser and will redefine user expectations of everyday online privacy.

*****Personally, I prefer DuckDuckGo over Google's Chrome and I have privacy while researching different topics.*****

My myself use many different browsers, mostly portable installations, each with a general specific purpose, from legacy Firefox 52.9 (ESR) to installations of  the latest portable  (now 100) FF Quantum (tweaked so that it provides multiple tab rows) ,  but to use more than one copy of FF Quantum portable you need to place a copy of the FirefoxPortable.ini from Other\Source to the main folder of FirefoxPortable and edit the FirefoxPortable.ini to AllowMultipleInstances=true DisableIntelligentStart=true) Thank God for viable useful tools and options which should be used for God and good.

There is also The TUSK BROWSER allows YOU to determine the sources of your news and information...Designed exclusively for Conservatives, TUSK allows you to get the news and information you want without the liberal bias." The TUSK BROWSER allows YOU to determine the sources of your news and information.... - https://tuskbrowser.com/

However, as stated  in this thread, "This makes no sense. There is no censorship or thought control at the browser level."  Thus the factor would be the default search engine, concerning which and TUSK states ,

Coming soon, the default search engine will be our own TUSK Search.    Until TUSK Search is ready, Yahoo is the default search engine. You may change the default at any time.

My standard test for liberal bias in search engines is to search "homosexual relations and the bible" (w/out quotes) and Google leads off with liberal heretical sites as its top results, which deny the unequivocal condemnation of it, and then provides a mixture of both Biblical and mostly liberal sites, even though there is zero justification for the the latter denial of clear unequivocal condemnation of homosexual relations (and the other major issue here is that of abuse of the Bible, not simply the moral teaching, though all penitent sinners can be saved thru regenerating faith, thanks be to God).

Bing and Yahoo at least lead off with provide a clear statement "Throughout both halves, the Bible is clearly resolute in that homosexuality and same-sex relations are condemned as an abomination" followed by a mixture of mostly liberal sites in the issue. I have yet to find any other search engines which do not do likewise or worse.

In contrast is my own custom search engine for Bible topics (and one for conservative political issues) which Google enables account holders to create, thank God, though it limits how many sites you can choose to include.

And even though they are liberal, Google itself also provides a https://apologeticssearch.com/ which returns searches from conservative sites.

Daniel, my problem with Google, Yahoo, and others are, they track where you go. When I research a topic I don't want it known to other people and yes they do track you, no matter where you go.

I tried to have DuckDuckGo track me and they had no record of where I was or when I was at a website

However, it's nice to see you Daniel1212AV
