All eyes on world’s first openly gay Muslim MP as Imran Ahmad Khan goes on trial in London for groping young boy

A Tory MP is due to go on trial accused of groping a 15-year-old boy.

Imran Ahmad Khan, 48, generally considered the world’s first openly gay Muslim MP, represents Wakefield in West Yorkshire. He denies a single charge of sexual assault against the then teenager in Staffordshire in January 2008.

The politician, who has been suspended by the Conservative Party, will stand trial at Southwark Crown Court from today.

Some Ukrainian refugees fear Sweden, citing public safety concerns

A number of Ukrainians are reportedly refusing to seek refuge in Sweden over concerns for their safety, it has emerged.

The story was first reported by Swedish news outlet Nyheter Idag following a first hand account from a humanitarian worker on the ground in Poland.

Jimmy Hemmingsson, a Swedish national currently assisting the humanitarian effort in the Polish capital of Warsaw, explained in a radio interview that refugees have been expressing concerns about the number of shootings that occur in Sweden, in addition to hearing reports of social protection services taking children away.

Indonesian Islamists told to respect non-Muslims at Ramadan

Indonesia's top Muslim clerical body has urged Islamic groups not to target restaurants and street food stalls serving meals to non-Muslims in daylight hours during the holy month of Ramadan which begins next week.

The Indonesia Ulema Council (MUI) said on March 28 that food outlets should not be forced to close to respect those who don't have to fast, including Catholics.

The call followed an attempt by the council’s branch in West Java province’s Bekasi district to ban restaurants, cafes and stalls from opening during Ramadan

Iranian town removes statue of woman for un-Islamic dress

The sculpture was entitled “Together Alone” and was put up in Gorgan, a city in the northeast of Iran this year. The piece depicted members of a family sitting together on a bench, but each of them is staring down at a cell phone. The goal of the installation was to draw into question the role of social media and smartphones at home.

But the controversy stirred up over this sculpture did not centre around its message, but rather the style of dress of a woman in the art piece

Majority of ‘Palestinians’ Would Vote for Hamas Leader

Creating a terrorist state that’s run like a dictatorship and is split between two quarreling groups of terrorists was clearly a great investment.

As the current poll of Arab Muslims living in the terrorist-occupied territories in Israel reveals.

Neither Hamas nor the ruling Fatah faction headed by Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas deserve to represent and lead the Palestinian people, according to a public opinion poll published over the weekend.While 33% said that neither side deserves such a role, 31% believe that Hamas is slightly more deserving than Fatah under Abbas, which polled 29%.

The poll, conducted by the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research (PCPSR), also showed that if presidential elections were held today, Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh would defeat the 86-year-old Abbas.

The last time that the Palestinian Authority held elections, Hamas won. Since then (and we’re talking about the Bush administration), there have been no real elections and Abbas has just occupied a permanent presidency

A writer and talk show pundit known for his polarising attacks on Muslims and immigrants, Zemmour emerged as the election’s dark horse early on in the campaign, drawing from both the mainstream conservative camp and voters disappointed by the far right’s traditional champion, Marine Le Pen. He has since slipped down the table in voter surveys, polling at around 10-11 percent, though his supporters still rank among the most raucous and motivated ahead of the first round of the election on April 10.

Israel shocked by Islamic State-inspired terror attack

Israel has been gearing up for a two-week-long perfect storm: the convergence of the holy Muslim month of Ramadan (beginning April 2), the Palestinian observance of Land Day March 31, a day of protests over land expropriation, and the Jewish holiday of Passover, which falls this year on April 15.

Israeli security forces and political leaders have drawn up appropriate responses for the upcoming dates. Defense Minister Benny Gantz prepared an extensive package of incentives and benefits for the Palestinian Authority that includes construction permits for Palestinian homes in the West Bank, money transfers and additional Israeli work permits for Palestinian laborers. The military has been instructed to suspend all demolitions of illegally built Palestinian and Arab housing, avoid provocative actions and try to limit friction with residents to the extent possible. Similar guidelines were drawn up with regard to extremist groups of Jewish settlers in the West Bank.

Muslims in Australia experienced surge of hate after Christchurch massacre, report reveals

The Christchurch massacre triggered a surge of hate towards Muslim people in Australia, with women the vast majority of victims, a report has found.

The Islamophobia Register Australia (IRA) recorded a fourfold increase in reports of in person incidents of anti-Muslim hate, while reports of online incidents were 18 times higher in the two weeks after 15 March 2019, when an Australian white supremacist, Brenton Tarrant, murdered 51 people in an attack on two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Hamas, Islamic Jihad call to increase attacks in West Bank, Jerusalem

In Beirut, Lebanon, Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PJI) and Hamas officials met to discuss how the groups should engage and increase their actions against Israel.

The meeting comes as several of their followers died in clashes with Israeli Defense Force troops in the West Bank’s Nabulus last Monday, as Palestinians were rioting against Jewish worshipers near Joseph’s Tomb. 

While it is customary for Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad to call for increased attacks against Israel when one of their followers dies trying to attack Israelis, the meeting revealed short- and long-term goals to terrorize and harm Israel and Israeli citizens.

Should Western Christians Provide Life Support to Islam?

When tyrannies are appeased, they tend to grow.  That seems to be one of the more reliable lessons of history.  Yet, societies continue to appease aggressors in the hope that, maybe this time, appeasement will work.

I’m not talking about appeasing Russia.  A great many people are coming to the conclusion, as they should, that Putin should not be appeased.  I’m talking instead about the appeasement of Islam that’s been the rule ever since the radical side of Islam reasserted itself about four decades ago.

One could argue that after 9/11, we did respond vigorously to Islam by attacking Al-Qaeda and the Taliban in Afghanistan.  But we made it clear at the time that we were not fighting Islam, but perverters and misunderstanders of Islam.  Islam itself, we were told, was a great religion.  Shortly after the 9/11 attack, President Bush assured us that the word “Islam” means “peace” (it actually means  ”submission”).

An 18-year-old from Maine, along with two unnamed teens, have been arrested for plotting to bomb a Chicago mosque. These teens must be MAGA-hatted “Islamophobes” driven to violence by Donald J. Trump, right? That’s the clear impression that many of the news reports convey, and it’s what the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) would have you believe. CAIR’s deputy director, Edward Ahmed Mitchell, declared, “This disturbing case highlights the real threat posed by anti-Muslim bigotry, antisemitism and other forms of hate.” Actually, it doesn’t do any such thing, and highlights a quite different phenomenon. As is generally true when it comes to establishment media spin, the facts are otherwise.

The Waterville, Maine Morning Sentinel says “Waterville man, 18, planned to use explosives for ‘mass murder’ at Chicago mosque.” Chicago’s WLS reports “Maine teen recruited 2 others to help commit ‘mass murder’ at Chicago area mosque: feds.” CNN has the same slant: “Maine teen accused of plotting to attack a Chicago area mosque.” But the real story is that the chief perpetrator, Xavier Pelkey, and his fellow plotters are Sunni Muslims who were planning a jihad massacre at a Shi’ite mosque.

Arab gunman kills at least 5 in Tel Aviv suburb, latest in series of attacks

BNEI BRAK, Israel, March 29 (Reuters) - An Arab gunman killed at least five people in a Tel Aviv suburb on Tuesday before he was fatally shot, the national ambulance service said, in the third deadly attack in Israel in a week.

"Israel is facing a wave of murderous Arab terror," Prime Minister Naftali Bennett tweeted after the shootings in Bnei Brak, a Jewish ultra-Orthodox city on the outskirts of Israel's commercial capital.

Three women 'slaughter' female madrassa teacher over alleged blasphemy

Three women associated with a madrassa attacked a former classfellow - who was now working at a different madrassa - with a sharp-edged weapon for alleged blasphemy and killed her on the spot in Dera Ismail Khan's Anjumabad area, according to the victim’s uncle.

As per the initial application submitted to police, a copy of which is available with Aaj Digital, the victim’s uncle stated that he was alerted via a phone call about the attack on his niece and that she was lying severely injured at the gate of the madrassa. Upon arriving, he found the bloodied body with a chador on top of the victim and her throat slit.

The news was also shared by several journalists, including Iftikhar Firdous, on Twitter but with differing details.
