The way to cure the yeast problem is to go on a yeast cleanse. This diet is not a fun diet, but it is more fun than suffering. My best buddy has Crohn's, too, and is doing much better under this diet. It is a high protein diet; no sugar (including fruit and fruit juice), caffeine, or carbonated drinks. Mostly vegetables and low-fat meats in moderate amounts, especially good if cooked in olive oil and garlic, since these are enemies of yeast. Low carbohydrates. Also very important: get tested for food allergies-a major contributor to yeast problems and Crohn's. Food allergies can be caused by eating too much of the same food, too often over an extended period od time. Best to rotate and get a lot of variety. Avoid nuts until you pass an allergy test, including food and molds, everything. Nuts have lots of nutrition but they also carry molds. If you buy them, store them in the refrigerator or freezer until use; may also add to stir-fry to kill the molds. No milk- am major yeast contributor. No bread-it contains yeast. Even the bread that doesn't contains carbs which turn to sugars which promote yeast growth. Eggs good once or twice a week; better than egg beaters which do not have the same nutritional benefits. When you're finished with the cleanse (3 months), rotate carbohydrates. Eat a large variety of grains, if you are not allergic. Big troublemakers to avoid: pastries, crackers, pretzels, pizza, plus anything fermented, as these all contain yeast. This includes anything made with vinegar, salad dressings, tomato sauce, soy sauce, miso, mincemeat, horseradish, olives, pickles, salad peppers, and dried fruits are very bad as well-they contain loads of yeast. Here is a list of things yeast hates:

Acidophillous (in yogurt, but you'd have to eat the plain since sugar is not allowed, or just take the capsules. Store them in your refrigerator.) Important: this is a homeopathic medicine, so don't touch the capsules, because this will impact its effectiveness. Pour them into the cap and transfer the capsules from the cap to your mouth.

Biotin

Garlic

Olive Oil

Gentian

Potassium

Vitamin C

Vitamin A

Vitamin E

Evening Primrose.

Very important: stay hydrated.

Holistic medicine is very strong in that it recognizes the connection between diseases that are separated by specialized medicine. If you have a prolapsed valve, they don't check your yeast levels. Have a doctor test levels.

I hope this helps. Blessings.

I don't think Tigerlily has been back since your last post.

She was to go in for a cat scan several weeks ago.  'Said she was getting worse.

Wow. thank you for the above.  I think I'll print that one out.  Thanks, Whitehorse.
