I’ve been a committed Christian for over 60 years.
My fellowship began in a non denominational Chapel in the UK which majored on the non resistant deferential characteristics taught in Christ’s Sermon on the Mount.
20 years on and the fellowship totally imploded in bitter dispute over the question of whom, if either, of the two assistant Pastors, should succeed the aging original Pastor.
I found it almost unbelievable that my mentors, who had taught me so much, should completely abandon all that they had taught me, and I left in order to re-examine my faith.
From that time on I have relied on God’s Holy Spirit to redevelop my convictions without denominational (or non denominational) prejudice.
In consequence I decline, on principle, acquiescence to any man made creed or statements of faith regardless of whether or not I agree or disagree on any or all of the contents.
I now fellowship in the nearest church to wherever God places me, provided they grant me full fellowship on nothing more than the basis on which I claim membership of The Body of Christ.
i.e. faith in the divinity of the incarnate Christ, his exemplary life, his sacrificial death atoning for the sin of the world, his resurrection to the right hand of God to intercede for us, and the convictive work of God’s Holy Spirit.
I am married a second time having lost my first wife and childhood sweetheart who died of Cancer.
Leaving me two grown up children, two grand daughters, and for four step grand children.
I am retired but extremely dedicated to my obsessive hobby of painting oil and watercolour pictures.
Nuff said…..am I banned? Wink

Hello Theo,

Welcome to Christians Unite forums.

We don't do denominations nor man made doctrines here either. We do follow God and His word.

Hello Theo, and welcome to Christians Unite forum. As Pastor Roger has said, we don't follow "mans doctrine". The only doctrine we follow here is God's Doctrine, the Bible.
