III John verse four says, "I have no greater joy than to hear  that my children walk in truth."

The word walk here means live in truth.  The truth of God's Word is found in the true believer's heart, and true believers walk in God's Word.  You will not hear that preached much in today's liberal churches.

No, because many of them are not PREACHING or TEACHING the truth. They only want to "tickle people's ears."

Are you shackled or are you FREE?

The Bible says: you shall hear the truth and the truth shall set you FREE

The truth is the Word of God, including the Good News.

King'skid

Jon-Marc is agreeing with you.

What he said was that he agrees you will not hear that sort of thing preached much anymore, and the reason is because there are so many "preachers" out there that are only preaching a message that "tickle the ears" sort of thing...feel good gospels in other words.

I am like most fathers.  I, like most, want more for my children than I have.

I am unlike most fathers.  What I would like my children to have more of is crowns to lay at Jesus feet.
