Corsi was to report Odinga's 2007 presidential campaign strategy called for exploiting anti-Kikuyu tribal sentiments, claiming victory and charging voter fraud even if the campaign knew the election had been legitimately lost. Odinga, Corsi said, also was willing to fan the flames of ethnic tribal tensions and use violence as a last resort by calling for mass action that led to the destruction of properties, injuries, loss of life and the displacement of over 500,000 Kenyans. The purpose was to compel the Electoral Commission of Kenya to declare him the winner or enable him to declare himself the winner by force.

    A Lufkin woman received a surprise visit from the Secret Service last week because of a “death threat” comment she reportedly made about Sen. Barack Obama to a campaign volunteer asking for her support of the presidential candidate.

    Two federal agents arrived at Jessica Hughes’ home Thursday to ask her if she said, “I will never support Obama and he will wind up dead on a hospital floor.”

    Hughes said her words were deliberately twisted by a volunteer who was apparently unhappy Hughes was rude during a phone conversation the two had. The Lufkin mother, a Republican, said she received a call on her cell phone Wednesday from a woman with the Obama Volunteers of Texarkana.

    “She asked if I was an Obama supporter, to which I replied, ‘No, I don’t support him. Your guy is a socialist who voted four times in the state Senate to let little babies die in hospital closets; I think you should find something better to do with your time.’ (And then) I hung up.”

    (Hughes is referring to a “born alive” Illinois bill that did not pass in the Illinois state Senate in 2005 and had previously been opposed by Obama because he said it undermined Roe v. Wade, according to FactCheck.org, a non-partisan organization. A federal version of the bill, which Obama said he would have supported, passed by unanimous consent and was signed into law by President George W. Bush in 2002.)

    Obama Campaign Communications for Texas director Josh Taylor declined to comment Monday, refusing to answer any questions and referring the matter to the Secret Service, which he said is conducting an investigation. A message left with a Secret Service agent in Houston was not immediately returned.

Farrakhan on Obama: 'The Messiah is absolutely speaking'
'Barack has captured the youth,' will bring about 'universal change'

A video has been newly posted on YouTube in which the radical Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan says of Democratic presidential nominee Sen. Barack Obama: "The Messiah is absolutely speaking."

Addressing a large crowd behind a podium with a Nation of Islam Saviour's Day 2008 sign, Farrakhan proclaims,

    "You are the instruments that God is going to use to bring about universal change, and that is why Barack has captured the youth. And he has involved young people in a political process that they didn't care anything about. That's a sign. When the Messiah speaks, the youth will hear, and the Messiah is absolutely speaking."

At the media watchdog blog NewsBusters, P.J. Gladnick writes, "Imagine the excitement of the mainstream media if they had discovered that some preacher up in Alaska had declared Sarah Palin to be like a deity? Well, the same basic thing happened when the Supreme Minister of the Nation of Islam, Louis Farrakhan, declared Barack Obama to be a messiah.

"I believe this messianic pronouncement by Farrakhan was made last February but the video was uploaded to YouTube just yesterday. … I don't know which is creepier, the pronouncement of Obama as messiah by Farrakhan or that strange cultish smile on his face," Gladnick says.

It's not the first time the subject has come up. WND reported when another Internet site, called "Is Barack Obama the Messiah?" raised questions.

The website captured the wave of euphoria that followed the Democratic senator's remarkable rise to power within the Democratic Party.

The site was laced with photos and magazine covers illustrating the theme, topped by a Obama quote strategically ripped from a Jan. 7 speech at Dartmouth College just before the New Hampshire Primary in which he told students, "… a light will shine through that window, a beam of light will come down upon you, you will experience an epiphany, and you will suddenly realize that you must go to the polls and vote" for Obama.

MSNBC anchor Chris Matthews also previously claimed he felt a "thrill going up my leg" listening to an Obama speech.

Gladnick writes that Obama has a charisma that goes beyond "his youthful vigor, or handsomeness, or even inspiring rhetoric."

"Bill Clinton, with all his effortless, winking charm, didn't have what Obama has, which is a sort of powerful luminosity, a unique high-vibration integrity," "Gladnick says. "Dismiss it all you like, but I've heard from far too many enormously smart, wise, spiritually attuned people who've been intuitively blown away by Obama's presence - not speeches, not policies, but sheer presence - to say it's just a clever marketing ploy, a slick gambit carefully orchestrated by hotshot campaign organizers who, once Obama gets into office, will suddenly turn from perky optimists to vile soul-sucking lobbyist whores, with Obama as their suddenly evil, cackling overlord."

On the YouTube website, several people participating in a dialogue dismissed any spiritual hype and pinpointed their concerns.

"Let us pretend there is nothing wrong with obama … I think he should at least clear up that lawsuit about where he was actually born before election day," wrote one, citing persistent Internet suspicions that his reported Hawaii birthplace isn't accurate.

"I am not one of his sheep," said another.

"How much more have (sic) to come out on Obama before the O-Bots put down the kool-aid and say ENOUGH!" added a third.

"Not sure the Obama team will be thrilled about yet another crazy association," added another commenter on the NewsBusters forums page. Previous reports have documented Obama's links to Kenyan opposition leader Raila Odinga, onetime Weatherman bombing suspect Bill Ayers and Rev. Jeremiah Wright, who proclaimed a black liberation theology for 20 years while Obama was a member of his church, demanding that God "****" America.

WND also reported when Rush Limbaugh criticized Democrats who were comparing Obama to Jesus and Gov. Sarah Palin to Pontius Pilate.

"I know Jesus Christ. I pray to Jesus Christ all the time," said Limbaugh." I study what Jesus Christ did and said all the time, and let me tell you something, Barack Obama, you are no Jesus Christ."

He also attacked Obama's stances for abortion and sex education for children in kindergarten, saying, "I can't find any such references to Jesus promoting infanticide nor do I find any references to Jesus Christ suggesting sex education be taught to 4- and 5-year-olds, but I'm still looking in the New Testament and I'll let you all know if I come up with anything."

Democrats, including party strategist Donna Brazile and Rep. Steve Cohen, D-Tenn., made nearly identical biblical comparisons of the characters in this presidential election, which Limbaugh traced back to a Sept. 4 posting on a Washington blog.

"Barack Obama was a community organizer like Jesus," Cohen said during a one-minute speech on the floor of the U.S. House yesterday. "Pontius Pilate was a governor."

Proof Obama backed ruthless, foreign thug
Set up direct Senate contact for Kenyan opposition leader

Sen. Barack Obama designated a personal aide as his direct contact for the 2007 Kenyan presidential campaign of Raila Odinga, who later was appointed prime minister after his election loss was followed by widespread, deadly violence that destroyed or damaged 800 Christian churches, according to e-mails obtained by WND senior staff writer Jerry Corsi during a trip to Kenya.

Corsi attempted to release this and other information at a Tuesday press conference in Nairobi. The WND reporter and No. 1 New York Times bestselling author was detained by Kenya security officers as soon as he entered the hotel to make his presentation. He was held incommunicado and without food for the entire day before being permitted to board his regularly scheduled flight out of the country to London, where he is currently recuperating from the ordeal.

As WND has reported, Obama openly campaigned for Odinga during the Illinois Democrat's 2006 Senate "fact-finding visit" to Kenya.

Odinga called for protests over alleged voter fraud after losing the December 2007 general election. The resulting protest violence left an estimated 1,000 members of the dominant Kikuyu tribe in Kenya dead and an estimated 500,000 displaced from their homes.

The links between Obama and Odinga were documented by copies of two e-mails obtained by Corsi during his meetings in Kenya with various government officials and others.

The e-mails, apparently sent by Obama himself, referenced the senator's aide, Mark Lippert. The e-mails were provided to WND by an insider in Kenya who fled Odinga's Orange Democratic political party and requested anonymity because of the danger of retaliation.

The e-mails, identified as coming from Obama's Senate office, are addressed to "railaaodinga" at a yahoo.com address.

A WND e-mail to the same Obama address generated an automated response and a list of contacts for Obama's offices. A WND e-mail sent to the Odinga e-mail address didn't generate a response.

One e-mail purportedly from Obama, dated Dec. 22, 2006, read, "I will kindly wish that all our correspondence [be] handled by Mr Mark Lippert. I have already instructed him. This will be for my own security both for now and in future."

It is reproduced here with the e-mail address of the person who forwarded it to WND redacted:

Lippert is a long-term Obama Senate staff member identified by the Chicago Sun-Times as a member of Obama's "inner circle of foreign policy experts." The Sun-Times has said if Obama is elected president, his secretary of state and national security advisers are expected to come from this inner circle.

In December 2006 Odinga was in the early stages of planning to run as the ODP candidate against President Mwai Kibaki.

The e-mails from Obama's office to Odinga's presidential campaign seem to show Obama and Odinga, who once told the BBC he is Obama's cousin, had discussions about Odinga's 2007 campaign.

WND was unable to reach the Obama campaign for a comment, as the campaign telephone system disconnected a WND call three times in a row without any provision to leave a message.

The former ODM official who provided the e-mails to WND asked for anonymity because of concerns the disclosure of his identity could endanger his life in a volatile political atmosphere in Kenya where Odinga's fellow Luo tribal members staged sometimes violent protests against Kibaki's supporters, who primarily are Kikuyu.

Sen. Obama's relatives in Kenya are Luo.

The former ODM official reported abandoning the ODM and opposing Odinga because of concerns Odinga had manipulated tribal violence in Kenya to gain political power.

During Corsi's trip to Kenya, WND also confirmed the role of the anonymous ODM source in implementing an Odinga campaign strategy which the source claimed was shared with Obama's Senate office. The strategy is described in a document titled "Executive Brief on the Positioning and Marketing of the Orange Democratic Movement & 'The People's President.'"

The document at one point suggests: "It is possible to trigger a class war by painting the Kibaki Government as an insensitive, uncaring group of Muthaiga Golf clubbers. Available research also suggests that this strategy could also resonate with poor kikuyu youth who feel economically marginalized by their own government. As part of this strategy the party should seek to elevate the emotions within all youth constituents who may it successful, be willing to vote for us in the protest. Visible signs of class disparity will provide important fodder for this theme."

WND previously reported Obama was in telephone communications with Odinga on nearly a daily basis during the Democratic primary in New Hampshire in January.

The second e-mail, again from Obama's Senate address to Odinga's e-mail, stated, "Thanks for contacting me about Mr Lippert through email. Contact him through mark_lippert.obama.senate.gov."

Chapter 4 of Corsi's "The Obama Nation: Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality," titled "Kenya, Odinga, Communism and Islam," refers to the strategy document, but its authenticity was confirmed by the former ODM official during interviews with Corsi in Kenya over the last week.

The document describes an Odinga strategy of exploiting "anti-Kikuyu sentiments," a clearly racial strategy aimed at inflaming long-standing tribal animosity to gain electoral advantage for Odinga.

The last point of the campaign document describes what happened when Odinga lost the December 2007 election: "Ethnic Tensions/Violence as a Last Resort."

Obama continued to support Odinga's effort to share Kenya's head-of-state with President Kibiki even after the wave of Odinga-prompted violence that followed his defeat.

Some pundits in the U.S. already are suggesting that if Obama is not elected, there could be violence. On CNN's "Anderson Cooper 360" show, James Carville said, "But you stop and contemplate this country if Obama goes in and he has a consistent five point lead and loses the election, it would be very, very, very dramatic out there."

According to a Wall Street Journal article posted on the Obama campaign website, Lippert is doing double duty: in civilian life as Obama's chief foreign-policy adviser and in the military as a Lieutenant JG who is planning to serve as an intelligence officer for the Navy SEALS.

The site gives Lippert, 34, credit for helping "hone" Obama's anti-war views.

The website report states: "Over the past two years, Sen. Obama and Lt. Lippert have traveled around the globe together, played one-on-one basketball and shared each other's shoes. Lt. Lippert has continuing email exchanges with the senator's half sister in Africa. Sen. Obama encouraged Lt. Lippert to get engaged. Sen. Obama calls Lt. Lippert, 'one of my favorite people in the world.'"

Lippert previously worked at the State Department and at the Office of Naval Intelligence in Suitland, Md.

The report says Lippert accompanied Obama as an adviser to Russia and then to Kenya.

Obama Supporter Mark Warner: Pro-Lifers "Threaten" American Values

Richmond, VA (LifeNews.com) -- Mark Warner is a former Virginia governor who is running for a U.S. Senate seat and is a strong supporter of Barack Obama. A new audio recording has surfaced showing Warner saying that pro-life advocates and other conservatives are "threatening to what it means to be an American."

The remark is making the rounds of the Internet and reminding pro-life voters of the off-putting comment Obama made in Pennsylvania earlier in the campaign that conservative and pro-life rural voters "cling to guns or religion."

Warner's Republican opponent and former Gov. Jim Gilmore has already turned the audio of the comments into a new television commercial.

The comments feature Warner talking about political opponents at a Democratic Party gathering.

"One of the things you're going to see is a coalition that has just about completely taken over the Republican Party in this state, and if they have their way they're going to take over state government," Warner says.

"It's made up of the Christian Coalition. It's made up of the right to lifers," Warner continues.

"It's made up of a coalition of people that have all sorts of different views that I think most of us in this room would find threatening to what it means to be an American," he concludes.

Ken Shepherd, a columnist with the media monitoring blog NewsBusters says it will be interesting if the media report on this gaffe and attack on pro-life and other conservative voters.

"With Virginia as a battleground state in the 2008 election and given Democrat Barack Obama's damaging gaffe earlier this year about rural voters clinging 'to guns or religion,' a new gaffe by another Democrat should be worthy of media attention,' he says.

"It remains to be seen if the mainstream media will even notice." Shepherd says.

While while the same mainstream media is trying to do everything in its power, to tear that woman down and why?? Because she is the biggest and most lethal threat to the godless liberal movement in this country. If she gets to be Vice President she could then leap to the presidency in four years. Then be in a position to create another conservative movement like Ronald Reagan did, which led to the conservatives coming into power in 1994 sweeping both houses in congress, Ending the threat of liberal policies, that Bill Clinton had lined up to be pushed through Congress.

And it's not just Obama. It's the liberals who see conservatives, homeschooling, people who believe in protecting themselves, going to church, raising their kids with biblical family values as a "threat" to America.

It's not Obama that's dangerous. It's Obama AND his supporters. His connections. Everything that he brings along with him. The dangerous ideology, the intolerance and the ignorance. The worst is the complete and utter disrespect of our Constitution and the freedoms that so many of our ancestors fought for.

Government grills publicist over Corsi investigation
'We received warnings not to talk about the incident'


A Kenyan publicist who helped arrange a news conference for author Jerome Corsi to talk about his investigation into Democratic presidential nominee Sen. Barack Obama's links inside Kenya says he's being grilled by the Kenyan government over what Corsi discovered.

As WND reported, the news conference never took place because immigration authorities detained Corsi and held him until his scheduled British Airways flight out of Nairobi. WND also reported bribes were paid to "various officials" to make Corsi's departure easier.

Some of Corsi's investigation results, which follow up on questions raised by his book "The Obama Nation: Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality," are being reported in another WND article today.

"His life is in danger and his career may be wrecked because he represented me in Kenya," Corsi said of the publicist, Peter Mbae.

Mbae, publisher and managing editor of The Eagle newspaper in Nairobi, confirmed in an e-mail to Corsi he has received "several calls from people who introduced themselves as government officials demanding to know my involvement in Jerry's visit and what he found out."

Mbae said he's received many calls from media members, because nearly four dozen local and foreign journalists who had arrived to cover the press conference "were kept waiting by the government … for six hours without explanation as to why they were holding Corsi."

Corsi and his personal publicist, Tim Bueler, eventually were allowed to board their previously scheduled flight to London. They had been held under armed guard most of the day and deprived of food to the point Bueler was suffering a reaction.

Mbae said, "With Corsi and Tim out of the way, all the media attention turned to me with questions. … I told them am professionally a media coordinator and yes, I booked the hotel because I felt it was important for Corsi to meet the media and the government was wrong to deport him."

Corsi wasn't deported, because he already had been scheduled for the flight he took. But he was detained behind a wall of armed soldiers during the remainder of his stay in Kenya so that he could not talk to reporters.

Mbae said the same government officials have warned him not to talk about any of the circumstances of the censored news conference.

Mbae was not the only one to describe as inappropriate the government's intervention in Corsi's news conference about links between Obama and Raila Odinga, an opposition leader who took over the prime minister's office in Kenya after a failed campaign that was followed by tribal violence blamed for hundreds of deaths.

Lucy Oriang of the Daily Nation said in an editorial that the government's action simply proved Kenya remains "the bedrock of intolerance."

"Boo to the person who made that decision," she wrote.

Oriang implied she had not read the book of which she was critical, calling it a "hatchet job, by most accounts."

"But that is no reason to hound the man out of town. The Big Brother mentality went out of the window ages ago," she said.

"The knee-jerk reaction to people, things and situations we do not like will be the undoing of this country. We saw it in January [during the presidential elections]. There is no blood on the floor this time around, but the coordinates are the same," she said.

Kenyan officials made sure Corsi knew he was not welcome to return.

"Don't ever come back. See you in hell," Corsi reported an unidentified official told him as he was delivered to his flight.

Pregnancy Centers Could Face National Attack if Barack Obama Wins

Pregnancy centers across the country that provide women with abortion alternatives could be shut down or face severe regulations if Barack Obama wins next month. That's because a bill targeting pregnancy centers could easily be approved in a pro-abortion Congress and land on Obama's desk.

Obama has already promised pro-abortion groups like Planned Parenthood and NARAL that he will be their lap dog in the White House and these are the groups leading the effort to pass the bill.

Sen. Robert Menendez of New Jersey reintroduced the bill in April in the Senate and issued a statement alleging that pregnancy centers mislead women by giving them information on abortion's risks and alternatives.

The so-called "Stop Deceptive Advertising for Women’s Services Act" would place burdensome regulations on pregnancy centers.

It would also force the Federal Trade Commission to create and enforce rules to prohibit deceptive practices that pregnancy centers say they never use to reach women -- such as advertising under the "abortion services" section of the phone book.

Melinda Delahoyde, the president of Care Net, a network of about 1,000 pregnancy centers from across the country, talked about the attacks in a recent interview with CBN News.

"This is not unexpected, when you're coming against abortion in America. And the hurt and the pain and the lives lost, the lives destroyed through that - there's always going to be opposition," Delahoyde said.

One leading pro-abortion group, the Feminists Majority Network, has reportedly hired a full-time staff member whose sole job is to launch attacks on pregnancy centers and dig up dirt on them for use in legislation.

Rep. Carolyn Maloney, a New York congresswoman, introduced the House version of the attack bill last summer.

In previous comments about her bill she claimed some pregnancy centers "take a more underhanded approach to lure in women seeking abortions by using tactics that should be illegal."

Kristin Hansen, a Care Net representative, previously spoke with LifeNews.com about older versions of this bill, which have never moved past their introduction.

“What's clear in these attacks is that the multi-million dollar abortion industry is growing increasingly frustrated with the success of pregnancy centers, which, unlike abortion providers, offer a wide range of free services to men and women facing unplanned pregnancy and sexual health-related concerns," Hansen said.

While the bill has not ever been voted on in either the House or Senate, abortion advocates, who are expected to see their numbers increase after the elections, could find themselves emboldened by an Obama presidency and push for the bill harder than they have before.

Is Obama spiking Kindergarten Kool-Aid?

Barack Obama’s education bill, S.2111, The Positive Behavior for Effective Schools Act of 2007 and its intent to achieve important social outcomes (emphasis added) to the elementary and secondary student population.

 Given that it was William Ayers, the unrepentant terrorist and founder of the Weather Underground who served as “Collaborative” co-chair, crafting education policies to Obama’s chairmanship in the Chicago Annenberg Challenge (CAC), that reportedly directed more than US$100-million for radical activists, I thought nothing could be more eye-opening.

Afterall, what could be more eye-popping than Obama possibly resurrecting the radical ghost of William Ayers in elementary and secondary schools by significantly redesigning and amending the Elementary and Secondary Education Act to allow, in part, for “State...local educational agencies and schools to increase implementation of early intervention services, particularly school-wide positive behavior supports”?

While the highly charged debate on climate change and global warming ensues, Obama wants kindergarten children to be taught climate change science in the classroom.  On May 14, 2007, Obama introduced in the Senate, a bill called, the “Climate Change Education Act,” which authorizes “the National Science Foundation to establish a Climate Change Education Program.”

In Section 3 of Obama’s bill, S. 1389 called, “Climate Change Education Program,” the Director of the National Science Foundation shall establish a Climate Change Education Program to-"broaden the understanding of climate change, possible long and short-term consequences, and potential solutions; apply the latest scientific and technological discoveries to provide formal and informal learning opportunities to people of all ages, including those of diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds; and emphasize actionable information to help people understand and to promote implementation of new technologies, programs, and incentives related to energy conservation, renewable energy, and greenhouse gas reduction.”

 The National Science Foundation (NSF), according to their website, is an independent federal agency which was created by Congress in 1950 “to promote the progress of science; to advance the national health, prosperity, and welfare - has as an annual budget of “about US$6.06 billion” and is the funding source for “approximately 20% of all federally supported basic research conducted by America’s colleges and universities.”

 Under Obama’s education bill, the NSF would be responsible to provide “Program Elements” for the “Climate Change Education Program” which include: “a national information campaign to disseminate information on and promote implementation of the new technologies, programs, and incentives- and create “a competitive grant program to provide grants to States, local municipalities, educational institutions, and other organizations.” These institutions and organizations will use these grants to “create informal education materials, exhibits, and multimedia presentations relevant to climate change and climate science” and also will “develop climate science kindergarten through grade 12 curriculum and supplementary educational materials.”

 According to a 2007 US Senate report, “over 400 prominent scientists from more than two dozen countries” voiced significant objections to major aspects of the so-called “consensus” on man-made global warming. These scientists, many of whom are current and former participants in the UN IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change), criticized the climate claims made by the UN IPCC and former Vice President Al Gore."

 Putting those findings aside, preschool and kindergarten children are already participating in save-the-Earth and recycling type programs throughout the school year.

 In addition, during “Earth Day,” every April 22, for example, according to a “First-School” program, children are encouraged to partake in “arts and crafts experiences” that enables them “to acquaint themselves with the natural qualities of the earth such as leaves, rocks, shells, dirt, wind, rain and sunshine.  Children also learn to observe, create, and remain in touch with the ever changing world, and to develop a caring attitude towards the earth by learning to recycle and use materials for art and crafts rather than throwing them away.”

 Then there is the United Nation’s “World Environment Day,” which was established in 1972. It’s another day focusing on climate change and the environment that the US actively participates in, that according to the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) website, recommends every June for people of all ages to celebrate-in many ways, including street rallies, bicycles parades, green concerts, essay and poster competitions in schools, tree planting, recycling efforts, clean-up campaigns and much more.” 

 The UNEP’s Environment Fund for 2008-2009 has been budgeted at US$152 million. In response to the “contribution trends in 2006-2007,” the UN has asked governments to “increase their pledges to this fund “by at least 22%.” The United States already contributes 22% of the UN’s regular budget-- which this year “$4.19 billion for core UN operations” was requested. That figure includes the UNEP but does not include the UN budgets for programs like “UNICEF and the World Health Organization” or “the cost of UN peacekeeping, which is projected to… increase from US$5 billion in 2007 to US$7 billion in 2008.”

 Although no firm budget has been set to enact Obama’s K-12 Climate Change Education bill “such sums as may be necessary to carry” it out have been “authorized.”

Whatever the cost of Obama’s Climate Change Science Education will be-- Obama’s education plans do not begin at kindergarten but “at birth” and will cost annually US$10 billion.

According to “Barack Obama and Joe Biden’s Plan for lifetime Success for Education” found at barackobama.com, the White House hopefuls have “a pre-school agenda that begins at birth” called their comprehensive “Zero to Five” plan which “will provide critical supports to young children and their parents by investing $10 billion per year.” Because as the Obama-Biden plan states: “Children’s ability to succeed in school relies on the foundation they build in their first three years. Prekindergarten for four-year-olds is important, but it is not enough to ensure children will arrive at school ready to learn.”

 Last week, the US Congress passed a US$700 billion economic bail out package designed to save the US economy from collapse. With Obama’s revolutionary “Positive Behavior in Effective Schools Act,” which if passed into law allows Title I education funding to be extracted-without restrictions and Obama’s Climate Change Education program, the amount of US taxpayer educations dollars dedicated to subjects such as math, reading, writing and history is unknown.

 Obama’s Climate Change Education Act has been referred to the Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions.

Hundreds of absentee ballots sent to voters in New York State’s Rensselaer County, near Albany, were printed with Barack Obama’s last name spelled as “Osama," the Albany Times Union reports.

County elections officials tell the newspaper that it was a typo that made it by three rounds of proof-readers. They also said the error affected just a few hundred voters, and that they will re-send corrected ballots on request.

ACORN connection is much, much larger than what Obama claims

If we learned anything from the mess in Florida in 2000, it’s this: When elections don’t end on Election Day, things get ugly quickly. That is why today, and not the day after Election Day, is the day for Americans of all political stripes to aggressively press for more robust safeguards against vote fraud and for immediate action on the registration-fraud investigations targeting ACORN, the community-organizing enterprise that has been the sometime employer and full-time ally of Barack Obama.

ACORN’s voter-registration affiliate, Project Vote, was founded by leftist activist Sandy Newman. When Newman was looking to hire somebody to run Project Vote in Illinois, he turned to a local lawyer who had conducted training for ACORN: Barack Obama. Small world. (“He did one hell of a job,” Newman says. Undoubtedly.) ACORN’s political-action committee is supporting Obama, to nobody’s great surprise, and ACORN has hired Michelle Obama’s old Chicago law firm to help them out in a million-dollar embezzlement case. (National Review’s Stanley Kurtz documents the Obama-ACORN nexus here.) More significant, Obama represented ACORN in a lawsuit against Illinois, seeking to force the implementation of “motor voter” registrations, an initiative that has provided rich opportunity for voter-registration fraud. Senator Obama today disavows his connection to the leftist group in much the same way he describes his longtime associate and benefactor, the impenitent terrorist Bill Ayers, as “some guy who lived in my neighborhood.” Which is to say, he does so dishonestly.

ACORN’s Nevada offices were raided by federal law enforcement on Tuesday as part of a vote-fraud investigation. At least ten states have reported suspicions about ACORN’s new voters, who number at least three million since 2004. Among those the group was seeking to register to vote in Nevada were the starting lineup of the Dallas Cowboys. “Tony Romo is not registered to vote in the state of Nevada,” deadpanned Ross Miller, Nevada’s secretary of state. It is against the law to employ felons in voter-registration projects; ACORN seems to have employed at lest 59 of them, inmates on work release.

Unsurprisingly, the team of vote-canvassers assembled by ACORN for the benefit of Senator Obama — a gang one disgruntled felon/inmate/activist described as “lazy crackheads” — has produced some colorful results: 21 separate voter-registration applications were filed for a single voter in Miami; activists have attempted to register untold numbers of dead, underage, imprisoned, imaginary, or otherwise ineligible voters in swing states; in Indiana, signatures were forged on registration cards for names apparently pulled out of the phone book at random, and Indianapolis/Marion County’s registration now stands at 105 percent of the voting-age population; in Nevada, registrations for Cowboys’ star Terrell Owens and other would-be voters were filed from non-existent addresses, and there were no records of the existence of many of the people proffered as voters. In Albuquerque, at least 1,400 registration cards are in question. Missouri (53,500 new ACORN voters) and Ohio are finding forged signatures and registrations from non-existent addresses. These are not isolated cases; they run into several thousands already, and the investigations have only begun.

In July of 2007, five ACORN activists pleaded guilty to fraud in Washington state for submitting nearly 2,000 phony voter applications. ACORN’s new team has facilitated at least 40,000 new voter registrations in the state of Washington for this election. The Wall Street Journal reports that ACORN workers in Ohio were “given crack cocaine in exchange for fraudulent registrations that included underage voters, dead voters and pillars of the community named Mary Poppins, Dick Tracy and Jive Turkey.” The Republican party in Ohio is asking the state this year to cross-reference driver’s-license numbers on registrations against the state’s motor-vehicles database, so that any mismatches can be examined. They are making their case in federal court, but Ohio’s Democratic secretary of state is resisting. Democratic officeholders across the country deny there is a problem.

There are millions of new ACORN-registered voters on the rolls for this election. It would be corrosive to our institutions if fraud were to force a close 2008 presidential race to be hashed out in court after the fact, or cast doubt on the result. Recall the gubernatorial election of Christine Gregoire of Washington State, where those ACORN activists were convicted of fraud. In Gregoire’s election, Democratic districts tallied up more mail-in ballots than there were mail-in voters, while Republican districts were found to have fewer votes than voters. Mail-in ballots are inherently problematic because there is no way of knowing who actually fills them out; their use should probably be restricted to overseas military and diplomatic personnel. Asking voters to go to the polls and show a valid photo ID would put an end to many of these questions, and doing so is not too much to ask to maintain the integrity of our democracy.

I mean with all the shady characters and actions surrounding the Obama campaign. It is amazing he still has supporters. Much less those that proclaim to be Christians and supporting Obama. It is way beyond me, he doesn't deserve to become POTUS!!
