Thanks again ya'll.
Amazing, isn't it, that you can hardly pick up a paper or go to a news website and almost daily/weekly you can read an article about a kid shooting their parents, or a parent harming/killing their own child.  I saw one just the other day where a teenager had killed his parents and his two younger brothers.  I was reading so much of it that a few months ago, I just quit going to the "crime"sections because I would come away physically sick.
Just another sign that we truely are living in the end times when you add it all up.
In Christ,

What king sulked in bed because he couldn't acquire a certain piece of property?

(1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Samuel)

Ahab

(1Ki 21:4 KJV)  And Ahab came into his house heavy and displeased because of the word which Naboth the Jezreelite had spoken to him: for he had said, I will not give thee the inheritance of my fathers. And he laid him down upon his bed, and turned away his face, and would eat no bread.

This king and his wife Jezebel and what she did and the outcome of their action helps to keep me humble. If we try to take anything that does not belong to us that God will have his justice.

In Jesus' parable of the lost sheep, how many sheep were in the field?

In Jesus' parable of the lost sheep, how many sheep were in the field?

100

(Mat 18:12 KJVR)  How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray?
(Mat 18:13 KJVR)  And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray.
(Mat 18:14 KJVR)  Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.

also in Luke the Lord goes into more detail into explaining the need and the joy that comes from finding the 1 that is lost
(Luk 15:4 KJVR)  What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?

(Luk 15:5 KJVR)  And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.

(Luk 15:6 KJVR)  And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.

(Luk 15:7 KJVR)  I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

(Luk 15:8 KJVR)  Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it?

(Luk 15:9 KJVR)  And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost.

(Luk 15:10 KJVR)  Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

just a personal thought here:
What a blessing we have as being like that sheep, for if we should happen to go astray, we have the Holy Spirit that will seek us out no matter where we are and bring us back into repentance; so that we will be walking again on the pathway to our final destination in Heaven.

What, in the dream of a Midianite soldier, tumbled into the Midianite camp and flattened a tent?

Judges 7:13 Gideon crept up just as a man was telling his friend about a dream. The man said, “I had this dream, and in my dream a loaf of barley bread came tumbling down into the Midianite camp. It hit a tent, turned it over, and knocked it flat!”

Thank you Brother David  Grin

I'm not sure what we're looking for here Brother.  Did you answer your own question or are looking for another?  When I do this, I put down 3 different books that the answer might be in.  It will always be in at least one of the books of choice.  Let me know if you are still looking for an answer because I never post another one until the previous one gets answered.   Huh Grin

I'm going to take a guess and say that if it wasn't his own parents it was the shepherds from the field?

Luke 2 15-16

15When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, "Let's go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about."

16So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger.

A strong east wind

Exodus 14:21-22

21 Then Moses raised his hand over the sea, and the Lord opened up a path through the water with a strong east wind. The wind blew all that night, turning the seabed into dry land. 22 So the people of Israel walked through the middle of the sea on dry ground, with walls of water on each side!

God is amazing
