I wonder if you dont already know the only  answer on how to keep from falling Cnwats, is stay on your knees... the power to walk in victory comes from much time spent in prayer, and in God`s presence is found every thing you need to have real peace and happiness, no one here can offer you quick fix answers that can give you what you lack, a daily, one on one, personal relationship with God, tho we can (and I will) pray for you, you must be willing to commit yourself to prayer also.

2Ch 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Jer 29:13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

Hi, Cnwats.  Thanks, Irish.  She's right, cnwats.

And time in the Word, too--often, at least daily.  The human mind is a wandering sheep, constantly wandering from the fold of understanding--constantly.  You must constantly be bringing it back to that "sweet spot" of centeredness and understanding. The world is very much with us, and will distract when and where it can, from your own centeredness. The Holy Spirit will helpp you.  During those times of aloneness are the best opportunities to just read the word.  Start from a passage that interests you.  You'll start discovering things.

Hello there Cnwats!

May I ask you a question?  Would you share your salvation testimony with us?  I'd love to hear it, and it may us help give even better counsel.  Smiley

All of us feel that we are not near Him all the time, we trip along His path.  However He is always with us.  He knows your heart.

Surround yourself with Brothers and Sisters if you can.  Find a Christian talk radio show and a good Christian music station.  And pray, fill your life with His word and share His word with others.

When you are not on your knees, SING, Sing praise to Him, sing loud, fill your heart with praise for Him.

"Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me....
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now, I see.

T'was Grace that taught...
my heart to fear.
And Grace, my fears relieved.
How precious did that Grace appear...
the hour I first believed.

Through many dangers, toils and snares...
we have already come.
T'was Grace that brought us safe thus far...
and Grace will lead us home.

The Lord has promised good to me...
His word my hope secures.
He will my shield and portion be...
as long as life endures.

When we've been here a thousand years...
bright shining as the sun.
We've no less days to sing God's praise...
then when we've first begun.

"Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me....
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now, I see.

Spring flowers to you my dear, the season of singing has come!

Cnwats,,,, I know it is hard when you are down to look up, but sometimes it is the thing to do.
there is no one who feels Gods presence all the time, that is where faith comes in.... Knowing in your heart and soul that even when you can't feel Him you know He is there.
I have days where I ask Him why I can't feel Him especially when I have trying days or something awful happens to someone and you are in your humanness trying to figure out why things like that happens.
That is when you get down on your knees, look up, put out your hands and ask Him to take them and lead you on!
Get out your Bible and read, read, read! asking Him to comfort you with His words.....
there are always days of being down, upset, angry, afraid, but you take those feelings  and give them to Him. He'll take care of them for you... keep up the praying during the day. talking to Him as you would your best friend, because He is !
Also, something I have found out in the 55 years I have been walking, running, and tripping, falling down and getting up again on this earth is,,,, choice!
We can chose to focus on the terrible things, making them five times worse than they really are, or we can choose to do something positive with them.... our choice, no one els's.
We can get up in the morning and choose to make a great day of it or we can stay in bed and pull the covers over our head and give up!!!
Oh well, nuff said!!!! I will pray for you that things will turn your way, but you must do something about it yourself too!!!   You make an effort to reach out to Him and  you will be pleasently surprised to find Him waiting there with His hand already out to you!!!
           God bless, Joy Grin

Deppression has many causes.  Before you consult your doctor you should do the following.  Even if you're not deppressed it's a good idea.

1.  The first thing I would tell you to do is go for a Run, and lift Weights (if you're male or female it works the same). It raises endorphins and it improves your appearance and therefore selfasteem.
There is a contentedness that people who live Nomadic lifestyeles feel, That many in the Industrialised world have lost.  You can get this back with daily vigourous exercise.

2.The second thing I would tell you to do is charity work.  once a weak atleast.  Work in a soup kitchen, help to clean Graffitti.   or something completely different.  The point is that its selfless and it does some good to people besides yourself.

3... are you working?  You should, but I know in some areas that is easier said than done.  It's important that you are in a situation where you can put money away for the future as well as social life.

4. Are you married? Do you have a Girlfriend/ Boyfriend.  When you have done all of the things above you should have enough self- esteem to get one.  It should help you make friends aswell.

5.  Learn something new everyday and read whenever you have spare time.  Long periods of concentration gives you great contentment and  personal growth.  People who read Fiction live several lifetimes worth of memories.

6.  If you live in an area with high polluton levels,  Move if you can.  If you cant, Aerobic exercise In a Gym (where Smog levels might be lower) might help.  Smog, reduces lung capacity and causes medical problems.  It is a Major cause of deppression

7.  Get plenty of sleep.  But not too much.  It's obvious really.

8.  avoid anti deppressants if you can.  This stuff is overprescribed.  It can help, but it can also cause serious mental illness and make you more deppressed.  Anything that makes you high- brings you crashing back to earth again.  It's a good idea to avoid them.

9. Dont watch or listen to the News.  If you want to be informed, Read newspaper or Magazine news.
TV news tends to run by the "If it bleeds it leads" philosophy.  How many news stories are about things that are coming to get you personally?.  It tends to be unrepresentative of the real threats to your life.  Text, of even bad news, has much less of a deppressive effect.

10.  You're obviously already a member of the Church so I wont tell you to join... It can give you hope.

11.  Have fun.

There are a lot of elements in your life that you need to make yourself happy.  Just one thing never works.   I almost forgot.  Get a pet.
