CheesyI'm new to this site, and looking for some support.  I am in my late 40's and finding myself single again.  I know I will get through it, but I'm not sure I want to.

Hi bell,

Welcome to Christians Unite. We are glad to have you join us in some wonderful Christian fellowship. We do have a few members here that are single and I am sure can probably relate to what you are feeling.

Keep in mind that with the Lord all things are possible and as long as we have the Lord we are never alone.

Well, I'm twice divorced and went through great depression (considered suicide) each time, but the grace of God got me through it both times. Pastoral counseling can be a big help; it certainly helped me.

Having been there twice I know what your going through. The loneliness was the hardest thing for me to handle. I missed the companionship of someone to share my thoughts and ideas with. In nurturing your relationship with God, through prayer and bible readings and going to church, that will help fill some lonely moments. I too got counseling to help deal with my emotions and put everything in perspective. Find a hobby that you enjoy, which helps the loneliness. I like reading a good book, walking, gardening, birdwatching, and of course fellowship with all the good Christian folk on this forum. Please know that we are here to share a bit of humor, poetry, words of the Bible, and everything in between that honors our Lord. Don't give up, keep on keeping on. I will keep you in my prayers. And lastly, which should have been firstly  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes, welcome to the forum.

Be not weary in your serving; Do your best for those in need; Kindness will be rewarded by the Lord who prompts the deed.
