When did dinosaurs die out? And how?

Hi David,

Answers In Genesis has many wonderful articles on Dinosaurs as well as other questions that relate to Creation and Noah's Flood.  http://www.answersingenesis.org/    If you go there and put dinosaurs in their search box you will get a ton of great information on this.

Fossils are evidence of a catastrophe. In order for animals to have been fossilized in the manner that they were it required that they were buried rapidly. Secular scientists want us to believe that they were buried slowly in a layer of silt. If it had been slowly all the dinosaur would have disintegrated (rotted) or picked apart by scavengers. Yet what we see instead is sometimes whole undisturbed remains being fossilized. One such occurrence is a fossil of two dinosaurs that are in a battle with each other. Other fossils show animals in the standing position and in the act of walking or running.

This is clear evidence that supports that a global catastrophe as Noah's Flood created the mass fossil field that we see. We are told in the Bible that at least a minimum of two of each type of animal entered the Ark and was saved. Here we need to keep in mind how God classifies animals into types. There are many varieties of cattle that we see today that scientist group into different genus and subspecies. God tells us in the Bible that all cattle are still cattle. With this in mind we don't know which Dinosaurs were on the Ark. We may see some of these around still today. There are some such as the Gila Monster or the Crocodile that we still have here that also showed in the fossil layer with other Dinosaurs. If any of the larger species survived on the Ark then they would not have survived afterwards for very long as it took large amounts of food to sustain them and with all life other than that on the Ark being extinguished there would have been insufficient food to sustain them for long.

I realize this is a rather lengthy answer to your question but it is one that requires it. Besides it is a subject that being in support of the Bible is one that I am quite passionate about.  Wink Cheesy Cheesy
