There already is a Palestinian state: Jordan

There ALREADY IS Palestinian state. It's called Jordan (previously referred to as Transjordan), which was granted to the Palestinian Arabs.

But they weren't content with that and wanted all of the land, and declared total war on the Jewish people, rejecting the United Nations partition plan of 1947.

The Arab leadership, unfortunately, only wants a Palestinian state at the expense of Israel.

The Hashemite dynasty that rules Jordan actually came from Arabia.  In the great power struggle to control the Arabian peninsula, the Hashemites lost and the House of Saud won.  So the Hashemites were given a couple of consolation prizes, Iraq and Transjordan.   They were ousted from power in Iraq, and only retained control of Jordan after a bloody crackdown vs. the PLO.
