Homosexual Clergy Mainly Responsible For Sex Abuse Scandals

by Staff

SAN DIEGO, (christiansunite.com) -- There has been many national news accounts over the past few years regarding the sex abuse scandals within the Catholic Church. Most recently according to the Associated Press, "The nation's largest Catholic archdiocese has settled its abuse cases for $660 million, by far the largest payout in the church's sexual abuse scandal."

What is not being reported by the news media is that the majority of those who were sexually abused across the nation were most likely adolescent boys, which makes the case that these precious minors were abused by homosexual men. These conclusions can be drawn from a major study that was conducted on behalf of the Catholic Church by the John Jay College of Criminal Justice. The study covered reported sexual abuse from 1950-2002, which showed that 81% of the overall percentage of victims were boys.

"How can this be possible when homosexuals only make a small percentage of the population? It appears that there are a disproportionate number of homosexual men in the Catholic clergy. If this is the reality, then it still makes the case that having more homosexual clergy spells more danger for children, especially adolescent boys as the study shows that 11-17 year olds were at greatest risk." says Phil Magnan, President of Biblical Family Advocates.

"The idea of allowing homosexuals to be in the clergy not only puts children at risk, but it also degrades the holy stewardship given to clergy to uphold morality and holiness from the pulpit. Many will cast stones at the Catholic Church for allowing the abuse to go on, but there is also a great need for repentance on the part of Protestant denominations. There are many churches which are celebrating homosexual lifestyles, even flaunting them in their congregations, while ignoring the commands of God. These apostate movements within the Christian churches are turning God's grace into license for sin. The wolves that the Apostle Paul warned about seem to have taken many different forms as they fail to protect the flock from error and sin."

Magnan continued, "I now wonder if the general public will consider that children in other institutions like public schools are at higher risk by allowing homosexual teachers to associate with their children? Surely many will cry foul and deny the danger, but try to tell that to the thousands of boys who were sexually abused by homosexual clergy. It is time that society puts away its love affair with tolerance for immorality, understanding that protecting children is the greater form of love."

Brothers and Sisters,

I've never dreamed of so many politically correct arguments involving alternative lifestyles, and they all boil down to an abomination in the eyes of GOD. SO, common sense should dictate that those involved in an abomination against GOD have no business in a pulpit. Is it really this hard to figure out? NO!

There isn't any gray areas in the Bible about alternative lifestyles. The Old Testament and the New Testament give the same BOLD rebukes all over the Bible. There is a change in the New Testament with punishment - we are no longer commanded to stone them to death immediately. This does not suggest that they can't repent, be saved, and accept JESUS CHRIST as LORD and SAVIOUR.

This world is becoming more evil by the second. Bluntly, hosts are spitting in the face of GOD with what they are doing and what they are condoning. The time will come when GOD'S Patience will end, and HE will pour out HIS Righteous Wrath. Surely, that time must be coming soon.

Love in Christ,
Tom

Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable GIFT, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour Forever!
