Iran Proximity among religions a must for global peace

Iran's Ambassador to Thailand Mohsen Pak-Ayeen said Friday that proximity among religions is a must for global peace.
Speaking to IRNA in Bangkok, the diplomat said replacing sectarian struggles and religious prejudice with friendship, brotherhood and love would prepare the ground for establishment of global peace.
The Iranian envoy urged Muslims, both Sunnis and Shias, living in non-Muslim countries to rely on common religious points and try to establish closer ties with each other.
Pak-Ayeen's comments came a day after a day-long conference on Islamic solidarity and proximity among religions held in the Thai capital on July 19. The confab was attended by a large number of Muslim scholars.
