I was born into a lower class white family on the South Side of Chicago. My mother was a drug addict, absent for most of my life. My father worked two jobs just to pay off our debts... We had no heat in the winter, no electricity in the summer. Five Kids went through this.

I was raised Roman Catholic, but have since spend much of my time worshipping at a Unitarian Church (I am not a Unitarian. But the Unitarian Church has an inspirational social justice focused message. I consider myself to be nondenominational). I was about eighteen when I decided I would dedicate my life to helping others through my natural talents.

My God Given talents, of course, are my keen observational skills which help me out on a day to day basis.

Hello and a warm welcome to you.  You have been through alot as a child....my heart always goes out to the innocent children who go through such things.  But I think these hardships have also given you your desire to help others.

As we grow older, I think our spiritual gifts manifest themselves more and more...they are things that come easily and  naturally to us.   Then God uses our spiritual gifts to help others, etc.
