Ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled. Matt. 24:6
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Psa. 46:1-3
Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. For, behold, the LORD cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity. Isa. 26:20, 21
In the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast. Psa. 57:1
Your life is hid with Christ in God. Col. 3:3
He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD. Psa. 112:7
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. John 16:33

They did spit in his face, and buffeted him; and others smote him with the palms of their hands, saying, Prophesy unto us, thou Christ, Who is he that smote thee? Matt. 26:67, 68
Likewise also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said, He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross. Matt. 27:41, 42
Of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together, to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done. Acts 4:27, 28
Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. Isa. 53:4

Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed; blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. John 20:29

It is I; be not afraid. John 6:20
When I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. Rev. 1:17, 18

Woe is me! for I am undone; ... mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. I John 3:8
We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Eph. 6:12
Forasmuch ... as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil. Heb. 2:14
And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them. Col. 2:15
I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Rev. 12:10, 11
Thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. I Cor. 15:57

Vanity of vanities; all is vanity. Ecc. 1:2
We spend our years as a tale that is told. The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. Psa. 90:9, 10
If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. I Cor. 15:19
Here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come. Heb. 13:14
I am the LORD, I change not. Mal. 3:6
Our conversation (citizenship) is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ; who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. Phil. 3:20, 21
The creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope. Rom. 8:20
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. Heb. 13:8
Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come. Rev. 4:8

Awake to righteousness, and sin not. I Cor. 15:34
Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. I Thess. 5:5, 6
It is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Rom. 13:11, 12
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Eph. 6:13
Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed: and make you a new heart and a new spirit. Ezek. 18:31
Lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. James 1:21
Little children, abide in him; that, when be shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming. If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him. I John 2:28, 29

My sheep hear my voice. John 10:27
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: If any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. Rev. 3:20
I sleep, but my heart waketh: it is the voice of my beloved that knocketh, saying, Open to me, my sister, my love, my dove, my undefiled. I opened to my beloved; but my beloved had withdrawn himself, and was gone: my soul failed when he spake: I sought him, but I could not find him; I called him, but he gave me no answer. Song 5:2, 6
Speak; for thy servant heareth. I Sam. 3:10
When Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zaccheus, make haste and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house. And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully. Luke 19:5, 6
I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly. Psa. 85:8

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. I John 4:7
The love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost, which is given unto us. Rom. 5:5
Ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear, but ye have received the spirit of adoption whereby we cry, Abba Father. The spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God. Rom. 8:15, 16
He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself. I John 5:10
In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. I John 4:9
In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace. Eph. 1:7
That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. Eph. 2:7
Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. I John 4:11

Reproach hath broken my heart. Psa. 69:20
Is not this the carpenter's son? Matt. 13:55
Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? John 1:46
Say we not well that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a devil? John 8:48

Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. Matt. 11:19
It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. Matt. 10:25
This is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully. For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps. Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously. I Pet. 2:19-23
If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye. I Pet. 4:14
