Hello all.
I am new to this forum. I hope that you will give me a little leeway.  I am a 64 yr old male, married for 40 yrs to a wonderful lady.  I just retired from driving Semi over the road.  My wife is a LPN and works at a doctor's office.  We have three grown boys and two grandchildren, a girl and a boy.  I also just recently had surgery for a tumor on my pelvis.  So am at home.  Learnin how to "walk" again with a crutch.  I have been very active in our home church al the years we have been married.  I got to preach occasionally. More about that later.  Just really wanted to say hello and GOD BLESS YOU ALL.  Ron Smiley

Hello PTL4,

WELCOME!

It's great to have you with us. I look forward to reading your posts and having fellowship with you.

We have quite a few grandparents here, including me, and I sincerely hope that you enjoy Christians Unite.

Love In Christ,

Philippians 3:8-9 NASB  More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ, and may be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith,

Hello Ron.  Married 40 years!!  Wow!  That is wonderful and truly an accomplishment.  I desire to say that one day.  I am currently married to my first (and only) wife of only 10 years.  But dare I say only 10.  It's the most difficult thing to do to stay married.

I currently suffered some extremely rough patches, and almost nearly didn't make it through.  I thought that I would have lost her.  But thank God for His Word, for it kept me strong and led me off the wrong path.  I wish to be an example for other men of my day and after.  To say that I stayed married, to the glory of God, and that I had married only once, just a personal desire.   I am so sure that you have a lot to share with others on how to get through some hard times.

God bless you on your road to physical recovery.
