Grateful
GRA'TEFUL,
1. Having a due sense of benefits; kindly disposed towards one from whom a favor has been received; willing to acknowledge and repay benefits; as a grateful heart.
2. Agreeable;pleasing; acceptable; gratifying; as a grateful present; a grateful offering.
3. Pleasing to the taste; delicious; affording pleasure; as food or drink grateful offering.

Ungrateful
UNGRA'TEFUL,
1. Not grateful;not feeling thankful for favors.
2. Not making returns, or making ill returns for kindness.
3. Making nore turns for culture; as an ungrateful soil
4. Unpleasing; unacceptable. Harsh sounds are ungrateful to the ear.

The nation in which we live is VERY Ungrateful for what they have. The people that are living in this nation only think about themselves and not others.
We have the tendencies to focus on ME, all about us and what we can get for ourselves. The technology of today’s age is all about convince to us. We live in a very Materialism world. The time that we spend watching the T.V. it puts thoughts into our minds that feed the flesh. Then ourself centered nature the fallen man try’s to take over telling us that we need to own this thing that will give us the happiness that we are missing.
  We are to take captive all the thoughts that come into our mind. 2Co 10:5  Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
So as you can read here in thescriptures that we are to guard our hearts by taking captive the thoughts that don’t line up with the word of GOD.
We as a nation especially this time of the season which is Christmas. We are just going about trying to find the RIGHT gift to give to someone so that we can feel good about ourselves. We are missing the whole concept about giving; we are supposed to be doing that all year long. But the thing that should be first in all is putting Christ first. Do we even put GOD first in the things that we do all of the rest ofthe year? We as a nation has missed this, we need to be getting back to putting God the very first thing on our list of things to do.
So in all we should be grateful and thankful to GOD for what we have as a nation, personal. Here is also what we should be doing:

1Th 5:16  Rejoice evermore.

1Th 5:17 Pray without ceasing.

1Th 5:18 In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

1Th 5:19 Quench not the Spirit.
So everyone please keep the LORD GOD first in you all lives 7days a week not just 1day a week like most so called Christians do. Be Grateful and Thankful for what God has given.

Amen Revolutionist!

I agree completely. GOD has richly blessed us as Christians in this part of the world. We need to always remember that Christians in other parts of the world are being beaten, put in prison, and killed for just having a Holy Bible or attending a worship service. I'm positive that we do take for granted our peace, safety, and rights to worship in this part of the world. We also take for granted the huge number of resources that we have for Bible study and learning how to be stronger in CHRIST.

Every day should be a day of worship, praise, and thanks to GOD for all of the blessings HE has given us. There are several links on Christians Unite to get a free subscription to Voice of the Martyrs, called "VOM" for short. I highly recommend that all Christians read VOM on a regular basis so that we can properly appreciate the freedoms that we have. VOM also makes us aware that there are Christians all over the world who need our prayers and support. Some people don't appreciate freedom until it is lost. It's also true that many Christians pray and give thanks only when they are in desperate need of GOD'S help. I'm positive that all of us have times that we are spoiled and ungrateful.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Amen. Even though the devil is doing his best to remove God from everything in this country (even more-so the past few years) we have it made here as Christians. This nation is so fixated in itself, money, and material possesions that we have become blind in what really matters.. Love for Christ and one another.

Hello MusicMedic5150,

I am still optimistic that every individual Christian can still make a difference, and I'm positive that GOD has work for all of us to do. I think it is a matter of all of us praying that GOD gives us the strength to stand up and keep standing until HE comes to take us home. There will be times of discouragement, but GOD can help us with that also. It's also important to always remember that GOD has given us each other for fellowship and encouragement. The Holy Bible tells us not to forsake our assembling together in the last days for these very reasons. We do need the love and encouragement of other Christians, and we have the promise of GOD that where 2 or 3 gather in HIS Name that HE is there with them.

Then we have the biggest encouragement. We have the promise of JESUS CHRIST that HE will never leave or forsake us.

Love In Christ,
Tom
