Hey everyone.

I just wanted to stop by and say "Hello."  I've been a Christian for almost 2 years now.  While I can say it's been an up and down struggle, I'm more than happy to know the Truth that is Jesus Christ.

The first Church I considered home was a Baptist Church in a surrounding town.  The body was tight there and everyone knew eachother.  It was a great place to establish a Christian foundation.  After that I began attending a different Church as my wife was an assistant pastor there.  She works with girls in recovery (alcohol and drugs) and the ministry where she preached a Christ centered recovery center.  Unfortunately there wasn't much there for myself or my step children...

Our new Church home is a Church that I'm very proud of, Cherry Tree Alliance Church.  There's a little there for anyone and there's a lot I personally enjoy about the Church.  My wife enjoys it as well.  Best of all they got a TON of stuff for the kids to do.  The kids attend a 'cub scout-like Bible program on Wednesday nights called "Awana."  I believe it's available to any Church so I'm sure some of you have heard of it before.  They LOVE it.

Besides that we run a website called TryHim.org.  I read the rules and figured it would be okay to post the link as it's not exactly an organization but rather just our personal attempt of bringing people to Christ.  If you run a website I would definately recommend checking out the stuff they have here for Webmasters.  I really like the "Daily Bible Story" javascript code available here at ChristiansUnite.

Currently I've been struggling to find a new job as I'm a newly wed and we just bought a house.  Besides that I'm going through some spiritual struggles as well, but in the end I know it will all pay off if I continue to seek Christ.  I look forward to getting into some discussions with all of you and getting to know many of you as well.

Thanks for reading, and it's good to be here.
God bless.

Hello Kenny5682,

I've already welcomed you in another thread, but I'll WELCOME you again.

Congratulations on making the most important decision of your entire life - accepting JESUS CHRIST as your Lord and Saviour. We have a lot of sweet and very strong Christians here, and we're very happy to have you with us. Many here will pray about your job situation, and I know in my heart that GOD will provide. I also wish you the very best in your recent marriage. I know beyond any doubt that the best way to have a good marriage is to have CHRIST as the head of the home.

I have a lot of respect for your wife and the work she is doing. That is a very hard job, and there's usually little thanks. I'm a retired police officer and know many people who work with alcohol and drug abuse. I appreciate them.

I sincerely hope that you enjoy Christians Unite. We have a good variety of Christians here from age 8 to 88 the last I knew. I am one of the resident grandpas, but I'm not 88 yet.   Cheesy   Jump in and have some fun.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Romans 4:20-21 NASB  yet, with respect to the promise of God, he did not waver in unbelief but grew strong in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully assured that what God had promised, He was able also to perform.

Hello Kenny5682,

Welcome to Christians Unite. Glad to have you here. I congratulate you also on your choice to accept Jesus Christ as Saviour. It is a choice that I am positive that you will rejoice in many times over.

I can appreciate the ministry that your wife is in. It is indeed a difficult one but there are many times that it is quite rewarding.

I am another one of the resident grandpas here (nope I'm not 88 either  Cheesy  ). I hope to see more of your posts and to be able to enjoy some wonderful Christian fellowship with you.
