I dident know what else to use for the subject so I put prayer.
The thing is why I posted this is because.....I hate the way I pray!
When im like in church and someone needs prayer I feel embarrassed to pray over they because IM not like most people who can go on and on find things to say. I have to say the same line over and over again 10 x.....
How can I work on the way I pray?

Hi alien_youth,

The first thing to be concerned about is that you are in conversation with God. As such we should not be concerned with what others think of that prayer but rather what God might think. We talk to Him as we would our own parents or a very close friend when we are asking them for something. After all God is our Father and the best friend that we can ever have.

Long prayers are not necessary, sometimes the short brief and to the point prayers are the best. An important thing to keep in mind is that it should come from your heart, a request that you are honestly concerned about whether it is for others or for yourself. A prayer list can help you remember the things that are of concern to you that you wish to ask Him for.

For more detail on prayers I suggest reading the following thread:

When you pray God is not measuring how long your prayers are, He doesn't care how fancy your words are, He looks at your sincere, humble heart.

A simple guideline is the Lord's prayer in the Book of Matthew 6: 9-13

This does not mean you have to repeat this prayer over and over, but you use it as a guide.

As PR said talk to God just as you would to your most intimate friend, He already knows everything, He's just waiting for you to come to HIm.

Always remember your prayers should be directed to God the Father and in the Name of Jesus, always believe that God has heard your prayer, even if you just "Father help me in the name of Jesus, He hears that.. I hope this helps you somewhat.

Hello alien-youth
There is some great advice here.  Remember that prayer is a conversation with the Lord and is never, ever something you should feel embarrassed about or ashamed of.  As PR and Airlam2worship have said, sometimes the shortest prayers are the best.........always look into your heart and remember that He is your father.
Blessings to you!
