Hello my friends.

So sorry I haven't posted for so long.
I do intend to spend more time here.
I really miss you all! Cry So it's good to be here! Cheesy

I wanted to give you an update on my health...or lack of it! Wink

I have spent a few days in the hospital over the past couple of weeks, which is pretty much par for the course.
This time, however, it looks like I am headed for a dangerous surgery to repair my stomach.

I have suffered with severe acid reflux for a few months now, and I have not responded to medication, so I will have to have the surgery.

These days, the once dangerous procedure is made far more safe by performing the surgery with a scope.
In my case, I have such severe scarring from my two previous surgeries that the scope is not an option, so I will once again, be sliced from one side to the other on my abdomen.
The scarring I have will make even this surgery, even more dangerous, so I will need prayer.

I spoke with the doctor today, and he is going to see me in October for an evaluation, then I will see the surgeon, and he will have to map out the rout in order to bypass as much of the scarring as possible. There is even a chance that the surgery may be impossible because of the scarring, so I am not having a good feeling about the whole thing.

If the surgery can't be done, then I could end up choking to death on acid, which gets into my lungs.
See the trouble I'm into?

Actually, I really am not the worrying type, but I am worried for my wife and children. If the worst happens...well, you know where I'm going.

Anyway...my doctor has me on powerful pain killers at the moment, so I don't have to stay in the hospital unless it gets overwhelming again.

Sorry to come back after such a long absence with this bad news, but this is exactly where I knew I should come. Here with my Christian brothers and sisters.
I know I have been difficult, and I am truly sorry for that.

It is good to be among my friends here at C.U.!!! Grin

John

Hi brother John, I join in prayers with sister Maria for you in this. It's good to see you here.
