The "Gospel of Judas"

 You know I really have to laugh when I see all the fuss about the so called “Lost Gospel Of Judas” This is just the latest of many attempts being made by an overwhelmingly atheistic media which has shown a programmatic hostility to orthodox Christianity and an odd sympathy for heresy.

 Here’s a sample of the kind of outlandish language being used to describe this text… “One of the most significant biblical finds of the last century—a lost gospel that could challenge what is believed about the story of Judas and his betrayal"of Jesus.” First of all, this text is not, and never has been “Biblical” in the sense that it is any part of accepted cannon. These kind of wild statements are purposefully designed to fool the unlearned. It’s a common example of the kind of hostility toward orthodox Christianity we see all too often in media today.

 Anything, which puts a literal rendering of the Holy Bible into question, is given “academy award” status, and promoted as being “authentic” yes, the texts are authentic as far as actually existing, however, the texts were not added into the cannon because they were written hundreds of years after the accepted Gospels of Mathew, Mark, Luke and John, which date back to within 40 to 70 years after the actual events took place, and if you believe the latest evidence, the four gospels are probably much closer than the 40 to 70 years being ascribed to them at present.

This “Judas gospel” is part of the Gnostic writings, which are not “Gospels” but, rather, could be loosely referred to as “scriptures”, and more correctly referred to as a disingenuous attempt to rewrite the legitimate Gospels. Right from the start, the names prescribed to the Gnostic “gospels” are forgeries.
The Gnostic “gospel” of Thomas, the Gospel of Mary (Magdalene) etc. None of these scriptures were written by the authors ascribed to them, these scriptures are falsified right from the start.

If we’re going to make such grandiose statements such as “One of the most significant biblical finds of the last century—a lost gospel that could challenge what is believed about the story of Judas and his betrayal” in reference to this “Gospel of Judas nonsense, then we may as well add the “scriptures” of David Koresh and Jimmy Jones to the list as well.

National Geographic! These clowns keep posting articles about the solid evidence for evolution, only to have articles which are exclusively evidence for microevolution!  EEEDEEOTS!

There's hardly ever a serious program on TV which takes the true Gospels and presents the very solid evidence for their reliability. But the second one of these flood "experts" comes on TV, or a new "gospel" is found such as this goofy Judas stuff, then it's all -  sing along now! "overtures, curtain lights, this is it, the night of nights, and oh what fun we'll have! On with the show this is it!"

We have the Da Vinci Code, The gospel of Judas, The Jesus Pares and now we have The Jesus Dynasty. It is yet another book touting archaeological "evidence" that is blasphemous to say the least. It questions the Bible in aspects like Joseph and Jesus being a carpenter. Calling Him a "day laborer" instead. It also questions Jesus' lineage claiming it is not what the Bible says it to be. There is even a claim that the tomb of the "royal family" of Jesus has been located along with the bones of Mary Magdelene and other members of Jesus' family including the bones of Jesus.

These people just will not give up until they think that the truth of Jesus has been buried for good.

The good news for today is that I went for a long drive to Toronto with my friend Dave, who I posted about a while back - he's the guy who totally rejected Jesus and got hostile about it. Dave is actually wanting me to tell him all about Jesus today, and it appears that he is heading in the right direction my brothers!

I read a little of the "gospel of mary" when I heard about the contiversy over it...................it's crap. you can tell right away that it is a self serving (not God serving) piece of junk that someone thought they could rattle the faith with.

Didn't waste any more time with the "other" gospels.

I don't think it's a coincidence that the devil is bringing the gnostic writings to light again. The gnostic writings represented the devil's attempt to stop or confuse GOD'S WORD then, and that's all they are worth now.

We do know that GOD'S WORD was not stopped, and the devil has not been able to destroy it over all these years. The only tool that the devil has is confusion, and he uses that with cunning quite well.

I think that all Christians should easily recognize that all of the things of the LORD are under assault from just about every angle. This is a time to stand up and speak up. It's always a time for prayer and asking GOD to strengthen us, guide us, and mold us for HIS use to say and do the things that bring GLORY to GOD.

Men trying to bring glory to themselves should be a hint that they are probably a false messenger and false teacher. The same would be true for men trying to bring glory or acceptance of things of this world. Christians should expect many false messengers and false teachers. It's sad that the Bible tells us that they will deceive many, so we know beyond any doubt that many will be deceived. Our part will be to yield to GOD'S WILL and go forth with whatever work HE has for us to do. Brothers and Sisters, we should go forth gladly and with joy.

Brother, this is more good news to give thanks for. The Holy Spirit has softened Dave's heart, and he's now ready to hear the Word of God. Brother, we both know that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. Many will be praying that Dave accepts JESUS soon. It's a beautiful thing to watch when someone starts seeking JESUS. JESUS is waiting with open arms.

Amen Brothers, that means one thing we all have our work cut out for us we need to get more people to know the REAL TRUTH before their minds are so warped with all this nonsense. The sad thing about it is that a lot of people are allowing their eternity to be chosen for them by not searching for the REAL TRUTH, and when it's presented to them their minds are so full of the garbage they've read, seen or heard that it is difficult for them to see the TRUTH.
That is satan's tactic, that is how he works, thank God we know better, and that we are in a position to be able to teach others and lead them to Christ before it's too late.
