Gov'ts urged to react more strongly against sacrilegious acts
Isfahan, March 19, IRNA

Isfahan-Conference-Statement
The "Global Conference on Constructive Interaction among Divine Religions: A Framework for International Order" on Sunday urged all the world religious leaders and statesmen to adopt more stronger positions against the sacrilegious acts against he divine religions. (Is this why Islamic faiths, attack Christians? ... DW)

A statement, issued at the end of the two-day Conference, said the Conference, as the first in the kind to be held in the world, stresses the need for adoption of stronger positions by the followers of divine religions worldwide.

Given the single unique origin of all divine religions which focuses on oneness of God Almighty, the statement further highlighted the heavy responsibility of world's religious leaders to revive and restore the ethical values and adopt proper policies and measures to stop acts of evil.

The statement regretted the failure of some political leaders in showing strong enough reactions towards the ongoing sacrilegious acts against the divine religions, especially Islam and its Prophet Muhammad, and condemned publication of the sacrilegious cartoons in a number of press, which hurt sentiments of millions of believers worldwide.

Believing that recent rows over sacrilegious cartoons were inspired not by clashes among civilizations but merely by the dispute by the world big powers, the statement said the conference underscored the need for peace, justice and welfare to be established all over the world.

All participants in the event supported the anti-war movements launched worldwide to put and end to conflicts in Iraq, the statement added.

It also noted that the present gathering would only serve as the first step towards compiling a legal convention to guarantee peace and justice as well as right to freedom of expression, independence and security and also dismissing any forms of violence.

Noting that 'dialogue' and 'interaction' were the keys to setting up solid inter-faith communications on a global scale, it referred to mutual respect on the part of the followers of divine religions as the element to attain such an objective.

It further deemed the responsibility of both leaders and followers of divine religions to adopt strong positions in face of sacrilegious acts and stressed that the need for adoption of an international convention by all world states which could be attached to the United Nations Human Rights Act.

The statement further proposed formation of all-inclusive international body to be based in the historical city of Isfahan as the Cultural Capital of the Islamic World which cherishes a long history of friendly and peaceful co-existence among followers of different religions to secure constructive interaction among all the divine religions.

The participants in the conference, the statement read, urged all the world countries to take necessary measures to clear the world of mass destruction weapons.

Both religious leaders and statesmen should endeavor to safeguard the dignity of the Holy Qods which is the common heritage of all the divine religions and try to protect it from destruction, the statement concluded.

Gov'ts urged to react more strongly against sacrilegious acts

My note; Could we be seeing the begining of the end times starting? This talk about A Framework for International Order, looks to be leading to a one world religion. Though we know that, the Rapture will happen before that... Grin  LOOKING UP!! ...DW
