WORLD AS A FEARFUL PLACE? I NEVER REALLY AGREED WITH
OR EVEN UNDERSTOOD ALL THE IMMORALITY IN THE WORLD.

It is not necessarily a lack of faith as much as it is a lack of understanding. Yes, this world is a fearful place but we as Christians we are resting in the hands of Jesus so we have nothing to fear.

Mat 10:28  And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Psa 23:4  Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Psa 23:5  Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Psa 23:6  Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

I don't think it is a lack of faith at all.  We are all scared - whether we admit it or not.  It's part of our nature.  I know that the more I pray the less I fear.  The less I pray the more I fear.

It really helps me to ask the Lord specifically to comfort me and ease my fears, and let Him know that HIS WILL BE DONE.  I rest so much easier knowing He has a plan, and we are all included in His plan.

The world is a fearful place. The devil is out there working in every devious way appearing to all as an "angel of light", beautiful and appealing. Not the ugly image Hollywood/man gives him. 2 Corinthians 11:14

From David, the ever excellent example/admonishment for Christians:

Psalms 27

 1.  "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
 2.  When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell"
........et al.

From the Hebrew writer:

Hebrews 12:28. "Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:"

Hebrews 13:5.  "Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
 6.  So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me."

And from God's Christ, whose name is Jesus:

Matthew 10:28.  "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell."

I did not see the world as fearful. I only felt GOOD. I was walking on sunshine for nearly 6 months. I shined like a new penny and I had enough energy to save the whole of SA with the help of GOD.
Sometimes even He was moving to slow for me!

And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned [certain] days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven. Neh1:4
