Hello friends. For the record I am against all date setting, and as of a few days ago I believe twobombs has deleted his account so I don't know what I can contribute to this thread.

I rejected the earthquake prophecy by Chuck here simply because of the date setting. I now present you with another date setter from Zion Prophecy News.
RAPTURE?
Pat Robertson was on Hannity and Colmes radio program. He repeated his belief that 2007 may see major prophetic fulfillment. He is looking for 2007 to be Messiah's Second Coming, and if he is correct, then we are at near the beginning of the final 3 1/2 years. Pat believes Christians will go through the tribulation, and his TV network has recently established an alternate studio in Nashville, Tennessee, far away from Virginia near so many military installations. A nuke on the fleet at the Norfolk Naval Base and shipyards would wipe out the present CBN facilities in nearby Virginia Beach.

Think of Christ before you speak, date setters and especially His word to you as reads:

Mt. 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

John here:
aw come on, relax a bit! These guys are just pulling your leg! Wink
But, 'me' thinks that it will not be that long! (try Matt. 24:14's Word of as a 'wittness' only)

You know....   this is the kind of attitude that gets forums hacked and erased....

You guys just come over to europe for a period of 2 weeks and i'll show you stuff that'll make you not wanting to go back to the states again.

In short: you guys scare me; really.

"I'm afraid of Americans" - Trend Reznor & David Bowie

If there isn't room for any open discussion for the possiblity of the start of the 70th week of Daniel, evidence or pointers towards its fullfullment are discarded as hate posts, and on top of that pre-trib ideologies are generally accepted... then my friends, it's payback time.

"God is an American" ( from: "I'm afraid of Americans" - Trend Reznor & David Bowie )

I salute you, and name yourself as soon we're topside; not even 10% of the posters on this forum will be able to discern good from evil the coming days. But thats where it's all about: "the little flock".

I have deleted my user account from this board; good bye

Hi, John here:
Just a thought or two. God Told Noah the [year of] the flood!
Gen. 6:3. (and for ALL probation's closing, with the Holy Spirits STRIVINGS finished)

And about no one but God knowing the day and the hour verse? Do you claim that this was a statement of 'forever'?
In other words, when Christ & His Angels are on their way here in the clouds, that they will still not know the day or the hour?? Or us Cry?
Perhaps the verse needs MORE STUDY Wink.
Just perhaps it should read that Christ & His Angels do not make known the day or the hour? Regardless, Matt. 24:14 will not pass around the [third] time before the Master comes. According to the Eccl. chapters!

Again, the verse even stated the [day nor the hour] as Truth. Now for a real 'belief' tester? Read Eccl. 1:9-10 & Eccl. 3:15 & come up with reasons for the Lord asking the question that when He comes, .."WILL HE FIND FAITH ON EARTH". O' try Rom. 10:17-18 also.

And about Pat? He still might be off  into the future by a few years? But 'One thing IS' for certain, and that as Israel of old was JUDGED FIRST, so will the 1 Peter 4:17 verse be REQUIRED ONCE AGAIN! (not the 666 thing for these ones! that 'testing' is for the professed believers of the whole world)

Quote from John:

Are you John suggesting that we change what Jesus himself wrote? He said that "of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of Heaven, But My Father ONLY".
Mark13:32 indicates that even Jesus Himself did not know the day and hour of His return. When the Lord Jesus was on earth, He voluntarily limited His use of His divine attributes (see John 17:4,5;Phil.2:5-8).Therefore He became hungry, thirsty, and tired. Luke records that Jesus grew in knowledge and wisdom (see Luke 2:52).In this instance, Jesus surrendered the use of His divine omniscience.

Your other question is just a silly question  Tongue

And I quote you:

Drake say's to me: (John here by the way, silly John, huh?)

Are you John suggesting that we change what Jesus himself wrote? He said that "of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of Heaven, But My Father ONLY".

John here: Well, read it again & tell me that THE ETERNAL GOSPEL OF CHRIST (GOD!) does not know when it is that HE IS TO COME! And again! It says: [DAY & HOUR].

But that is OK with me Wink If you want to [sound] like the 1 Thess. 5:1-2 ones, but there is a verse 4 & 5 for me too?

Now: About changing scripture? That was an off/color remark from my friend, huh? Shocked, Smiley But, seriously, which one of what you call the four Gospels, is the TRUTH, seeing that they all tell the story in DIFFERENT WORDINGS Huh  Even one states that there were two demons cast out while another says one? Even the cities are different? (you look it up! Matt, 8:28-Luke 8:26-?)

Take care! (by the way.. aw, never mind!)
---John

PS: Well which one of the ones below that are not the same, are you telling me are the TRUTH?

Leading Pastor Warns Believers of 'Doomsday Distraction'
Ted Haggard says some have 'false hopes of a premature Second Coming'

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A leading pastor has warned Christians against spending too much time debating how close the end of the world is, rather than helping bring it about through what they do.
Some believers have been "distracted with false hopes of a premature Second Coming," says Ted Haggard, pastor of 9,000-member New Life Church in Colorado Springs, Colo., in an article in the June issue of "Charisma" magazine, out this week.

But getting actively involved in church life might do more for Jesus' return than "attending a prophecy seminar," suggests the recently appointed president of the National Association of Evangelicals.

"Making long-term lifestyle choices that place strong believers in positions of influence might be more helpful than short-term fixes," he writes. "Constant, steady integrity might be more important than stocking your basement with dried food and canned goods."

Haggard, a founder of the World Prayer Center in Colorado Springs, and the Internet-based World Prayer Team, suggests that a "fixation" on Israel's place in the end times has meant Christians have overlooked Bible passages "that indicate the Second Coming is predicated on our spreading the gospel throughout the world.

"The expansion of the kingdom of God might be our best predictor of when the end will come," he adds, "and right now there are several billion people on the planet who still have not heard the gospel."

Haggard recalls how emphasis on Christ's imminent return in the past led to people making choices "that altered the course of their lives based on a misunderstanding of where they [were] on the timeline of human history."

Some rushed into marriages, or avoided college and career opportunities because they thought they only had a short time in which to share the gospel, while others bought remote properties in an anticipation of a major economic collapse, "all because they misunderstood the times."

Haggard says: "... it's time to accept the possibility that perhaps the most obvious and clearly articulated messages of Scripture are indeed or primary importance, and the secret formulas pointing to our being the 'last generation' are hidden for a reason: They do not reveal the truth and are a distraction for many in the Body of Christ."

While some say the rise of cults and secularism points to the "falling away" the Bible teaches will precede Jesus' return, Haggard contends that churches are growing more rapidly now "than in any other time in Christian history... The world is not becoming more secular... It is becoming more Christian."

He urges Christians to pour their time and energies into helping fulfil the Great Commission. "Live as if He were coming back today, but plan as if we were going to live a long, full life," he advises.

"... if we will use our resources and not become distracted with false hopes of a premature Second Coming, we will realize God's calling for us. We will expand His kingdom so that when He does come, the celebration can be bigger and greater than we had ever dreamed."

Read Ted Haggard's article, "Doomsday Distraction," in the June issue of "Charisma" magazine, out this week.

John here:
Leading Pastor warns who, Us??? That the Master's WORD'S are  mistaken??
He best read what God TEACHES in Ezekiel 33:6-9! If you want a dozen + more, let me know?

Balance [is needed], but what do you think that Christ came saying to HIS OWN? See Matt. 10:5 0n to verse 38. Or Matt. 23! (or 1 Peter 4:17) We ARE LIVING ON THE BRINK OF ETERNITY, and this is what one hears? Sounds like the repeat of Matt. 23:15's message to me? Perhaps it is time for the 'stones' to 'CRY OUT' for the Eze. 37 ones seem to be taking a nap? (or is it Matt. 25's ALL SLEETING that need's the AWAKENING?)

And Noah? Preaching about what? And then only 8 people went INTO the ark.

MOST times 'i' wonder whose side some are on, here at the forum, or at least who they are following? Is it "Leading Pastor'sl or are they being "LED" by the one in Rom. 8:14? Huh

Woo Hoo! John the Baptist, I can see why you chose your name (and I loved this strange Biblical character). But as you can see my name is editor. I like commentaries. I read the article perhaps quite different than you did. What interested me the most was the question that popped into my mind was, "What have you done with my Son?'

I, for one am not on the cutting edge, but I don't resent those on the front line. I listen, I contemplate, I may reject or respond. Those that are in the news, at the very least, get read from me. Message boards? Well yes, they have their place.

But yes, I read from you, "Let the stones cry out," and I heartedy agree. Still can't help myself to post news articles.  Cool
