That is great Tom! I have starting doing the same. I give thanks to God for things I have always taken for granted. If I am going to complain (a little) to God when things get tough, I'd better thank him for all the good.
When I am feeling sorry for myself, I just think of all I am blessed with. Works every time.
Tony
Oklahoma Howdy to Driven by Him,
Amen!
Being rich or poor in this short life on earth is of little importance. A Christian's citizenship and riches are in Heaven for eternity with our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
It's more difficult to talk about health and illness while we are in these earthly bodies. However, we know that God will provide sufficient Grace to all of HIS children. It is Biblical to say that the trials of illness can and should bring God's children closer to HIM. When we are weak, we know that HE is always strong and with us.
You are right - we have far too much to give thanks for.
Thanks be unto God for HIS unspeakable GIFT!
Love In Christ,
Tom
