Title: Giving Thanks!
Post by: nChrist on October 28, 2003, 03:47:56 AM
Oklahoma Howdy to All,

I give thanks for many reasons every day. God has richly blessed my family and myself in too many ways to count.

I give thanks for the many sweet Christians who come to Christians Unite for fellowship. I'm happy that God gave me an opportunity to serve you. I've made some mistakes along the way, but many of you have helped and encouraged me.

I give thanks for you, my Brothers and Sisters in Christ.

Love In Christ,
Tom

That is great Tom! I have starting doing the same. I give thanks to God for things I have always taken for granted. If I am going to complain (a little) to God when things get tough, I'd better thank him for all the good. :) When I am feeling sorry for myself, I just think of all I am blessed with. Works every time.

Oklahoma Howdy to Driven by Him,

Amen!

Being rich or poor in this short life on earth is of little importance. A Christian's citizenship and riches are in Heaven for eternity with our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

It's more difficult to talk about health and illness while we are in these earthly bodies. However, we know that God will provide sufficient Grace to all of HIS children. It is Biblical to say that the trials of illness can and should bring God's children closer to HIM. When we are weak, we know that HE is always strong and with us.

You are right - we have far too much to give thanks for.

Thanks be unto God for HIS unspeakable GIFT!

Love In Christ,
Tom

:)Giving thanls is very important.  My prayers every night are a series of short prayers.  First I give thanks for T.V., radio, all the lovely food, reading, the computer and maybe somewhere I have been to.  Maybe someone I have met or visited and thanking God for taking away my asthma and eczema.  A very odd time I might fall asleep without praying.  I always try to make up for it in the morning.  Is this O.K.?
