Hello alien-youth There is some great advice here. Remember that prayer is a conversation with the Lord and is never, ever something you should feel embarrassed about or ashamed of. As PR and Airlam2worship have said, sometimes the shortest prayers are the best.........always look into your heart and remember that He is your father. Blessings to you! -Am-

Sister, I'm sorry to hear the news and yet I rejoice in the fact that your grandpa is saved and is going to be with the Lord. I was with my mother when she passed away. She was a very faithful woman and all I can say is at that moment, something wonderful happens. I had never experienced death prior to this. I never really questioned my Christianity, my faith, but now I can tell you that I never will, not in that way. Know that my prayers will be with you and your family! -Am-

Hi Deb, I can't offer much, but what I can offer you is that I will indeed be praying for you and two, you can tell the Lord just what you told all of us here today. Pray and talk to the Lord, see what the Almighty tells your spirit! To me a relationship with the Lord is just that, its more than confessing our sins, its being able to talk to our Savior about them and asking for help that only He can provide. I have had some strange dreams in the past and when I awoke, sat up in bed and said "Lord, what was that all about, it was so strange......what do you think?" I will be praying for you! Blessings! -Am-

1 Samuel 3: 3 - 5 "The lamp of God had not yet gone out, and Samuel was lying down in the temple of the Lord, where the ark of God was. Then the Lord called Samuel. Samuel answered, "Here I am." And he ran to Eli and said, " Here I am; you called me."
Note: Eli was very old at this time. 1 Samuel 2: 22 Now eli, who was very old........... 1 Samuel 3: 2 One night Eli, whose eyes were becoming so weak that he could barely see......................
The Lord called Samuel three times before Eli realized it was the Lord. This gives me a great perspective on what the voice of our Lord must have been liked when He called to Samuel. Samuel heard the voice and assumed it was Eli. What does the voice of an elderly man sound like? I often associate it with a voice that is calm, soft, yet filled with wisdom. So many times I get caught up in other scripture stating the power of the voice of God that I often forget just how calm and nurturing his voice can be. I think this is a great example.
Blessings to you all! -Am-

Hello Sister Tina, I love your graphic. I was just thinking about how this world has gotten dark, gloomy, and more evil by the day. BUT, our citizenship is in Heaven. Your graphic is a reminder that children of God always have a reason to be happy and give thanks. We have to live in this old world for a short period of time, but this world is NOT our home.I mainly wanted to thank you for a pleasant thought while I'm drinking my first cup of coffee. YES, "This is another wonderful day that the LORD has made, let us be glad and rejoice in it." Your graphic also reminded me immediately of an old hymn that I love: Thank you LORD for saving my soul,
Thank you LORD for making me whole, YES, we are made whole and complete only in JESUS. Love In Christ, Tom Ephesians 2:19-22 NASB So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God's household, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit. This world is not our home! How wonderful to know that and to know that one day we will return to our rightful place. My eyes and thoughts have been focused on Heaven often, but much more as of late, and of course on our wonderful savior JESUS CHRIST. John 3:17 "For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him." Yes, this brings my heart much joy!!!!!!! I'm looking forward to seeing you all there! May everyone have a wonderful day and as another old hymn goes: "This is the day that the Lord has made!!!"

All I do is drop a few cinnamon sticks in the bottom of the pot, turn it on and wa la! Cinnamon coffee!
