I got a Mini Mac so dh wants us to switch from Windows to Mac! I got him an original painting of our favorite scenes in Taiwan.
We had several opportunities to share the real Christmas story last week and to give inspirational materials to many non-believers. Please join me in praying that seeds sown may bear fruit soon!

Hey, Talker Cat, your life sounds pretty interesting to me. I lived in the same town and went to the same school building (2 blocks long) from K-12. I then went to college only 30 miles away. (in midwest) Later I met an adventurous mission-minded man, and we are now in southeast Asia. He promised me "never a dull moment" .

My husband and I work with two other couples here. My family are at least church goers, so they try to understand and be as supportive as they can. They really just want us to move back.
I'm hoping they will see me as an example of someone in love with Jesus, and want to no longer be lukewarm.
Having a mission team is so important. I meet with one woman weekly to be accountable.
Take care.

My dh just got a mini Mac and loves it. I was curious how many other Mac users are on this forum. I am thinking of getting rid of my Dell Inspirin laptop and get a Mac desktop. I never take my laptop anywhere anyhow. The mini mac is only a few inches square, maybe 6 inches. It is fast and easy to use. What do you think?

Dh and I watch a lot of Sci Fi. We have seen Farscape, Firefly (new movie Serenity is cool), and Stargate SG1 and Atlantis. It is fun to think outside the norm for a while. Of course, we watched all the Star Trek series with Enterprise just finishing last year with Scott Bakula as the first captain of the first Enterprise.

Wow, I hadn't checked this forum all week and look who all came out of the woodwork,ha.
Talker Cat, I am also 42, in fact I just had a birthday. I am married but no kids.
I certainly agree with roc-rus about only dating Christian men. It is really best to do things as groups at first anyhow and get to be friends first. God blessed me with being introduced to a single pastor when I was mid-20's and he has been the love of my life and never a dull moment, ha.
The Purpose Driven Life book changed my life. I was reading it when my husband returned from a short term mission trip overseas 4 years ago, and returned saying he wanted to MOVE there. Well, the end of the book talks about the big picture and our real purpose. Evangelism to the lost should be our real purpose. Well, we've now been overseas for over a year and God is at work here!
Have a great weekend everyone!

Sounds like you are doing God's work there. Do you have a mission team and a family to support you?
We try to do events mainly where parents will be attendance too. Such as an English camp where the parents will be invited to a parent night at the end to hear the gospel.
By the way, if you reply here, it isn't necessary to Instant Message me, in addition.
Welcome to the Forum.

We'd be interested in hearing about your mission work there. Are people open to the gospel? How do you go about meeting people or sharing the good news?
My dh and I are missionaries in Asia. We develop friendships, share our testimonies and then share the gospel in a simple way, invite them to receive Christ, and continue to mentor them whether they pray right then or not. We model this after Luke 10.
Take care

I've been wondering that too. I guess it's up to you and me to think of interesting posts that women will want to respond to.
A lot of topics we'd probably discuss here are already in another forum such as prayer requests or witnessing tips.
What topics would we like to discuss in this forum?

Hi Waiting on God, it is difficult to not have closure. Are you saying you didn't confront him 3 years ago about why he changed so much toward you?
Is it possible for you to contact him once and for all, so you can have closure and move on?
I suppose it's possible that once things got serious, he got scared and backed away. Since you are still thinking about him so much, it might be good to find out what he is doing now. If he is with someone else, then you will then know you can leave the special time you had together, behind you.
continue to seek the Lord's will. Praying for you...

Wildhorse and JesusIsMySavior, thanks for responding. I like those verses too. I hadn't really thought about Eph. 3:9 before; that's a good one to memorize.
We do have so many things to praise our God for, don't we?!
Have a blessed week...

This sounds like a great ministry. Campus ministries are so vital, as they reach students from all around the world. I became a Christian my 2nd day on campus. Young adults can have such an influence on their peers. I'll join you in prayer. Thanks for sharing about this ministry.
