Theology / General Theology / head knowledge only

Is it possible for someone to have a good understanding of theology and the bible and not truly be born-again? The reason I ask this is because I know of a person who knows a lot about theology, but her heart is as cold and dead as a stone. Of course she claims to be a believer, and every one takes her at her own word, but from the lack of love I have seen and the bitter spirit she has, I very much doubt of the truth of her confession of faith in Christ. Someone offended her one time a while back and to this day she has never truly forgiven this person and she keeps bringing it back up, even though it was a small matter and the person asked forgiveness, which she claims to have done, but is still bitter about it. When ever any one says any thing about it to her friends, they claim it's because she is still a "baby Christian and needs time to grow. I understand that as we all were babes in Christ one time or other, but there is a point after so many years when a baby should be walking and not still needing a diaper change. This person has been a "babe" in Christ for four years now and hasn't changed hardly any in all that time. True , she knows a lot more now then she did at first, but what good is knowledge if your heart is unchanged? Any way, I would like to know what others think. Thanks.
God bless

Prayer / Prayer Requests / Re:a false believer

Sorry for sounding to critical as it is not my place to judge who is saved and who isn't. I was just making an observation about the person I requested prayer for. She claims to be saved, but from what little fruit of the Spirit I have seen, it is very doubtful that she is saved. from what I have seen, and her lack of forgiveness toward others it isn't too hard to understand why I doubt the sincerity of her confession of faith. She knows a lot about theology and religious matters, but most of it is just a front to impress her friends. Please pray that God would show others the truth about her so she can stop playing games and get right with Him.
Thanks

Prayer / Prayer Requests / a false believer

Hi every one,
There is a certain person that I know of who claims to be a believer in Jesus Christ, but from the hate and unkindness I have seen from this person, I have serious doubts that she truly knows the Lord. I have known this person for the last few years and have seen first hand how she treats people. She "repents" in public for show, and then makes accusations about them in her group. She is very bitter and unforgiving of others, but expects to be treated as special because she is a "baby" Christian. she has been a babe in Christ for four years now and needs to grow up. I had a falling out with her a month ago, and now she is attacking me in her group and making out that she's the wounded one. What bothers me is the fact that her friends treat her as if she can do no wrong. They support her no matter what she does, even if it's to carry a grudge against someone. If you could pray for this person I would appreciate it. Please ask God to convict her of her sins so she will truly repent and seek His forgiveness and mercy. She knows a lot about theology, but it is mostly head knowledge. a lot of it never got into her heart. Her initials are DJ.
Thank you.

Hi, I'm new to this forum and joined mainly to seek advice and hopefully, Lord willing, maybe make some friends. I am a Christian and belong to the PCA Church. I have a wife of eleven years and a five and a half year old son. I love Christ and am studying Reformed theology. I love to read A.W. Pink, R.C. Sproul, Paker, and of course, the Holy Bible. Blessings
