Tibby, I have heard poeple (not on this forum) automaticly say someone is wrong just because of the church they attend, if people use the Bible and God as the basis for their research I do not see a need to list denominations. Maybe they should post nationalities also. ![Smiley](http://forums.christiansunite.com/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Paul You have? Really? Well, I haven't. What does that have to do with anything? Do you think people would do that in this Forum? I think we are adults. I think we can handle a little extra information.

This “pastor” sounds like an overzealous nut case. “corrupt text like the NIV” What? NIV is a fine translation. A few idiots found one verse they didn’t agree with, and they tell the world the NIV is corrupt.
What does he mean by “to extract money from people using the tithe” Does he mean for personal gain, or is he referring to tithe in general?
And what is wrong with meriting the favor of God by doing good works? It is called sowing and reaping, and it is a biblical principal! You do good things, you get favor, you do bad things, you are punished, it the way God made things, what is so wrong about that? No, you can not get into heaven by good works alone, but he didn’t say that now did he?
What does he mean by “Calvinism”? Is he talking about predestination? But what about the anti-Episcopal form of church government they support? A vote against Calvinism is a vote for Catholicism and the Catholic Mass, the same Catholicism that he clearly attacks in questions 4 and 7. So, what is this guy?

Sounds suspiciously like an excuse to ignore people's arguments because they are Catholic, Baptist, AoG or whatever to me.
I don’t follow what your trying to say, it IS the reason we argue with someone who is Catholic, Baptist, AoG, or whatever.

If that where the case, we wouldn’t have Denominations in the first place, my friend. The problem doesn’t not lay with searching the bible, the problem lays with the interpretation, and this is why it may be necessary to state our denomination up front.

In a Martial Arts board I type in, there is a choice in your profile where you can list your styles. I was thinking it would be helpful if we had a space on our profiles that said what denomination we are a part of, if any, and a link for that Denomination or our church. It would make it easier in the discussion board, we would, for them ore part, know where the person we are debating with stands on the issue, without haven’t to stop mid agreement to ask, and we wouldn’t clutter a thread with people asking who is what, leaving more time for meaningful discussion.

It is that time of year again, school is about to start up in a month or so. And I just found out I have to write a Thank you letter to the Donor of my Scholarship. I think this doesn’t apply to anything, but I was wondering if anyone has had to do this before, or if anyone is a member of the University Factuality who has read any other these, and can give me advice on writing it.

Yeah, what a shame. With the UEC tryign to get a Gay bishop, and the UMC still undesided on the issue of homosexual marrages (as far as I know). What is wrong with the word today. There was a time, less then 50 years ago, when Homosexuality was consider a mental illness. The PhD's and MD's add in so many bogus mental illnesses, and at the same time they stop claiming the insanity of homosexuality, a true illnesses! What is wrong with the world today. Do you realize under the current Psychiatric guild book, nearly 1 out of vevery time people is mentally ill! They have gone off the deep end for money. Ok, I'm chasing rabbits now. sorry ![Grin](http://forums.christiansunite.com/Smileys/default/grin.gif)
