A Shelter In the Time of Storm
(Click to hear music)

You have been a shelter from the storm.
Isaiah 25:4

Words: Vernon J. Charlesworth, circa 1880.

Music: Ira D. Sankey, circa 1885

The Lord's our Rock, in Him we hide,
A Shelter in the time of storm;
Secure whatever ill betide,
A Shelter in the time of storm.

Refrain
Oh, Jesus is a Rock in a weary land,
A weary land, a weary land;
Oh, Jesus is a Rock in a weary land,
A Shelter in the time of storm.

A shade by day, defense by night,
A Shelter in the time of storm;
No fears alarm, no foes afright,
A Shelter in the time of storm.

Refrain

The raging storms may round us beat,
A Shelter in the time of storm
We'll never leave our safe retreat,
A Shelter in the time of storm.

Refrain

O Rock divine, O Refuge dear,
A Shelter in the time of storm;
Be Thou our Helper ever near,
A Shelter in the time of storm.

Refrain

This one, Bob?

Joyful, Joyful, We Adore thee
(Click to hear music)

I have stretched out my hands unto Thee.
Psalm 88:9

Words: Henry J. van Dyke, 1907

Music: "Hymn to Joy," from the 9th Symphony of
Ludwig van Beethoven;
adapted by Edward Hodges, 1824

Joyful, joyful, we adore Thee, God of glory, Lord of love;
Hearts unfold like flowers before Thee, opening to the sun above.
Melt the clouds of sin and sadness; drive the dark of doubt away;
Giver of immortal gladness, fill us with the light of day!

All Thy works with joy surround Thee, earth and heaven reflect Thy rays,
Stars and angels sing around Thee, center of unbroken praise.
Field and forest, vale and mountain, flowery meadow, flashing sea,
Singing bird and flowing fountain call us to rejoice in Thee.

Thou art giving and forgiving, ever blessing, ever blessed,
Wellspring of the joy of living, ocean depth of happy rest!
Thou our Father, Christ our Brother, all who live in love are Thine;
Teach us how to love each other, lift us to the joy divine.

Mortals, join the happy chorus, which the morning stars began;
Father love is reigning o'er us, brother love binds man to man.
Ever singing, march we onward, victors in the midst of strife,
Joyful music leads us Sunward in the triumph song of life.

Thanks Sister Pat!

"How Great Thou Art" is one of my all-time favorites. I actually have about 7 midi versions of it, but I didn't have the version you posted. That was a gorgeous piano arrangement, one that I enjoyed very much.

I've done pretty well with my last medicine change, and I've been away from home at my daughter's house for 4 days. My son is also home on leave from the Navy and was there. We brought him home with us for a few more days, and we are having a great time.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Love Lifted Me
(Click to hear music)

He was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out,
"Lord, save me!" Immediately Jesus reached out His
hand and caught him. "You of little faith," He said,
"why did you doubt?"
Matthew 14:29-31

Words: James Rowe, 1912.
Music: Howard E. Smith

I was sinking deep in sin, far from the peaceful shore,
Very deeply stained within, sinking to rise no more,
But the Master of the sea, heard my despairing cry,
From the waters lifted me, now safe am I.

Refrain
Love lifted me! Love lifted me!
When nothing else could help
Love lifted me!

All my heart to Him I give, ever to Him I'll cling
In His blesst presence live, ever His praises sing,
Love so mighty and so true, merits my soul's best songs,
Faithful, loving service too, to Him belongs.

Refrain

Souls in danger look above, Jesus completely saves,
He will lift you by His love, out of the angry waves.
He's the Master of the sea, billows His will obey,
He your Savior wants to be, be saved today.

Refrain

Hello Sister Pat,

YES, I feel like singing, and Love Lifted Me has always been one of my favorites. My wife allows me to sing in the shower or when she's gone. She's at work, so I sang.  Cheesy  That's also a beautiful piano arrangement.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Psalms 34:9-10 NASB  O fear the LORD, you His saints; For to those who fear Him there is no want. The young lions do lack and suffer hunger; But they who seek the LORD shall not be in want of any good thing.

I wish I knew how sister Pat put the midis on here, I would continue it I have so many Christian midis and the Lyrics. I think this is a very uplifting thread, singing makes the heart joyful, and praises make God happy.

Well sister she has the music linked to her website. So taking her last song,

{url=http://www.christianphotographers.com/sounds/love-lifted-me.mid){size=4]{color=crimson](b]{u]Love Lifted Me[/u} [/url}
{size=1](Click to hear music)[/size}

Course you have to have a website that will support the music. Also you need to take out the { }, and replace them with  [ ]

Yes! That's what I mean no one hates praises to the Lord more than satan himself, and I just love to praise the Lord.

nothing defeats the devil more than when he sees a Christian on his knees, praising and worshiping the Lord, sharing the Good News, and praising God even in the middle of adversity. that really gives him a beat down.  Grin
