Dear Coolmommy,
The greatest ministry you can have on this earth is one to your family. God has entrusted you with two beautiful gifts (and hopefully more) to train up in His ways. He has given you a husband for you to love, and serve as a helper (helpmeet). When the family works as a team ( in showing what a true Christian family is) you show the world by your example what it is to serve the Lord.
I know a family with eleven children....they aren't rich in monetary things....but rich in love and in giving. They give of themselves to each other, and the people around them. They bless others around them; just by the love they show for each other.
The world (and the church) will make a woman feel like she must either have a job outside of the home, or a "ministry" in order to feel "complete". Although, outside ministry is a good thing.....many negelct their duties at home for Ministry work.
In regards to the Lord's return........He is coming back for a bride that is spotless. It scares me too, to stand before Him.....He is Holy! But He wants us to be holy too! We are to work out our salvation with fear and trembling, stay in the Word, and seek His face. Our walk is day by day. There is also the Holy Spirit who convicts us of sin. Repentance is not a "one shot deal". We should continually be repenting of sin....if we don't, our hearts become hard....and we stop hearing that small still voice.
I hope you are getting fed the pure word of God in your Church. That you leave each Sunday knowing that you have been in the presence of God.
If the Lord wants you to glorify Him with singing in public....He will make a way.
Stay close to Jesus,
Psalm 119

President Bush has done an a astounding job as prez compared to "you know who", you know ,the one who kept his pants around his ankles in the white house. Scandle upon scandle rocked this nation with the ungodly deeds of "you know who".
However, there are a few concerns I have regarding President Bush. First, he did belong to the "Skull and Crossbones" at Yale (as did his father). To my knowledge he never has renounced this demonic group. Secondly, he has on more than once called Islam a peaceful religion, and been a little too cozy with Islamic leaders; including having a terrorist in the White House (Sami al Arian sp?). Thirdly, he plans to strike a "peace deal" with Israel and Palestine. This is his top priority once the Iraqi mess gets stabilized. Israel is going to get the short end of this deal (keep a good eye on this situation) Since Israel is the "apple of God's eye" I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of His judgement for messing with His chosen.
One bright note though....Bush appears to be more and more reluctant to do business with the U.N. (they should have been booted out of this nation 40 years ago). Maybe one day he will tell them to take a hike.
Whatever what one thinks of Bush or not, God is sovereign. He has allowed Bush to become our President during this hour. In order for the Battle of Armaggedon to take place there needs to be a catalyst to bring it to pass .( sorry my pre-tribber friends) I will not prophecy or date set regarding this matter. The best thing to remember is that we need to always be ready to meet our Lord; to not be Polly Anna's, and "do not be deceived".
Keeping our eyes on Jesus the Author and Finisher of our Faith.

Nearly 3,500 unborn children are murdered daily in America. Many of the anti-war protester's defend the right for a women to murder her child through abortion; yet they scream "what about the Iraqi children". Why the doubled standard?

"Do we then make void the law through faith? Certaintly not! On the contrary, we establish the law. Romans 3:31
" What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary. I would not have know sin except through the law. For I would not have known convetousness unless the law had said,"you shall not covet" Romans 7:6
"Therefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy and just and good." Romans 7:12
"For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man." Romans 7:22
"I thank God-through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, with the mind I myself SERVE THE LAW OF GOD, BUT WITH THE FLESH THE LAW OF SIN." (added emph) Romans 7:25
Now by this we we know that we know Him (Jesus) IF we keep his commandments (plural....more than one!) He who says "I know Him and does not keep His commandments IS A LIAR, AND THE TRUTH IS NOT IN him." (added emph) I John 2:3-4
Who is subverting who?
